I can think of a hundred different things engineering/design could be working on beside this dumb shit. Something else to go wrong, let's not even talk about the lawsuit after the first rollover death. May as well just come out with an OEM "tuna tower" accessory with remote controls. The person in the patent drawing looks like a 70's porn star version of Farley. FML

I can see this sort of making sense once autonomous driving gets further along and becomes practical.

The car is doing the driving you are just "guiding" and assisting with the best wheel placement.

That being said, I will relentlessly mock and ridicule anyone using it if the day ever comes....

Why not just go full remote and bluetooth an app for your iPad/tablet. Then you can just get out and spot yourself. When you get caught with your beer you can deny being "behind the wheel".
