There is no reason you can’t slap, say, 32s on the 16” steelies on the base, is there? Aside from dealing with changing the speedo gear or whatever you have to do to fix that (is that still not an easy programming change?)

A lot of us in the Base thread are guessing that 33"s (255/85R16) will fit factory steel rims.

I don't get the price jump over Base either. For almost $5k I'd rather buy the Sasquatch package and build a Basequatch.
Which is why I'm kind of surprised they offered the squatch on a base.... then offered mansquatch on base.... I went all the way from BL to a basemansquatch in a single tweet

This idea is what makes me nervous for the BaseManSquatch.....that's a WHOLE LOT O' TRUCK for the money. I'm curious if Ford will catch this and SQUASH the SQUATCH?
Curious if the ManBaseSquatch will be only $3400 then. Question to self - is that worth losing remote start, trail turn assist and that trail control thing?

Me too.

I was thinking of a Base with the 2.7L/10A and a rear locker.
$900 less and no 35"s or M210, but more ponies under the hood.
The problem with that is you can't get a rear locker or m210s on Base as of now without going with the Sasquatch package

Ford puts lockers in the base Ranger going down the same assembly line.

If Ford doesn't offer the rear locker on a Base Bronco, it's pure customer screwing.

You won't have any of those things with a manual anyway.
Exactly. It is an internal question that I thought I would share. Figure at least one other person might have the same (or similar) introspective thoughts.

If you look at the options chart at FORDs website you have to move up to Big Bend for rear locker and you still don't get m210s on the front. No rear locker option for Base.

That’s what I was planning. 32 or 33 on base. I think that’s about as big as you can go with the stock axle anyway. But I want a locker and have no idea what that would cost aftermarket.

Agreed. Which isn’t unfathomable. Sadly.
