Collision avoidance, will it, or won't it?

thats probably correct, my bad wording. As with highways, where markings are not necessarily clear, or on two lane on or off ramps, the guidance sometimes wants to guide you to other lanes. Not sure if the sensors are reading the lines on the road? So on a two lane cloverleaf, I have the impression it's sometimes misunderstanding which lane to follow. I feel like once in awhile it helps you from drifting, but it equally surprises you when it should not. The pull is not that hard that it's shocking, it's more of an anoyance.

I'm not sure they are all the same but my Badlands with high pkg settings are in the infotainment screen where you can adjust the intensity of all that. you can also shut it off completely by pressing the button at the end of the turn signal stalk .

Which is what we expect, right??? The guy who locks up in front of you is the bigger problem.

No one is a perfect driver. Some are better than others. Some are bad. If everyone was a perfect driver there would be no need for these features but we pay for them because you don't know when we will need it. I originally felt a little security knowing this was on our vehicles, especially my daughters. It was one of the deciding factors for her to have a newer vehicle with the tech that cost a lot more than if it wasn't an issue. I have no confidence in it now.

I hate to say it, but I truly believe you SHOULD NOT BELIEVE that these extra features are going to avert a head on collision, they definitely won't at night. It's not really appropriate of Ford to make safety a guessing game..... again, love the Bronco.... I

Yes. It uses the camera at the top of the windshield.
It will also use some data from the ACC radar module if equipped, but isn’t necessary for those that are not equipped with ACC

The only difference between the 2 are that vehicles equipped with ACC have AEB at all speeds above 3 mph. Non-ACC equipped vehicles, AEB only works up until 75 mph

My Bronco has no packages at all and it still has automatic high beam assist and there is a pre-collision alert feature. I don't think there is any automatic emergency braking, however.

I have a Base. Automatic Emergency Braking is one of the settings on the same screen where you adjust the intensity of the warning nag.

I keep forgetting these come with auto high beams since I turned them off before I left the dealership.

Alerts and braking both work on my '21. As mentioned, the occasional alert on vehicles ahead turning right. One instance of emergency braking as I was crowding through a busy intersection scared the crap out of me. Not needed, but it did work.

Hopefully nobody is relying on it to work so they drive carelessly. I think it is a safety feature that should at least be reliable.

It’s not a self driving vehicle. If someone is relying on it to save them from an accident, they shouldn’t be driving.

It does work reliably when, how and where it’s designed to.

Not the case as I understand it. A computer steering your car would require sensors to the side and behind to avoid steering into another car/accident.

If the government has allowed computer steering based on a single forward sensor then it's time to vote for the other guy
