This is the way. If the rate is not crazy, take the longest term loan and just pay the extra amount to manually bring the effective interest rate down. This way, you get a free cushion. Any financial advisor would recommend this to any client with self control.
I get what you're saying, but everyone taking on debt has a sweetheart plan for how it's going to work out financially, until they get smacked in the mouth.

Agreed self control is a key. But at least the people I know taking on auto loan debt are mostly losing thousands in interest payments. I bought a load of stock after the COVID crash, maybe if that was still going on I might have taken an auto loan for my Bronco, but it's not quite as clear cut now.

So proud! great plan, buy a depreciating asset instead of real estate. Chicks dig 32 yr old guys living with mommy
I might have been too harsh on him, his life and wasn't my place.

Apologies OP, @timneyugn

Crypto is the way. (be careful, start slow, there’s a steep learning curve)

I bought Bitcoin at 27,000. Not enough though, lol.

I can't imagine paying 70-100k for a Bronco that's like 15% "better" than a 36k Bronco
I get it, but keep in mind if one is using a Bronco as a grocery getter or commuting, a WT or BRaptor are somewhere around 0% better....maybe even pushing deep into negative numbers if cool factor is removed from the equation. If one plans on a little more adventurous use, even if only occasionally, its hard to put a value on the added capability. AAA or Joe's Tow ain't coming out to many of these places because your hopelessly high centered or punched a hole into something that once held a critical fluid. A base model can be built up to similar or better specs, but you'll have a lot of time and money into doing that. In the end, chances are it will not be as well integrated as the OEM version. Turns out, a couple of the Ford engineers know what they are doing.

That said, I bought a used '22 2 door WT for with 12K miles for about $45K in '24, then used the $20K+ savings to make it what I wanted. I ditched the plastic bumpers for some bargain ADD steel I found, added a Warn M8000 winch I already had, SFR skids, and threw on Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 coilovers that I got on a Black Friday sale. Severe Duty rack is waiting to be installed. I'm still easily $10K ahead (probably more like $20K with increases in MSRP) since I did the installs myself. And the most important part....the damn thing brings me more joy than any inanimate object ever should! :)

Unfortunately there's a saying of "buyer beware". Do your homework BEFORE signing. Both the numbers and physical changes. I ended up without a trailer hitch even though it was on my want list for the Bronco. If that's all I was missing then it wasn't too bad. Didn't notice until I went to hook up a trailer and the guy asked if I wanted him to install one.
