Yeah, it's a nice balance. I like it a lot with the sunrider too. Nice to have a half hard with a rack and half soft top to flip open.I realllly like those half racks for the 2 door.
What's your GVW, you look massively overweight?I run with a RTT plus storage so I don’t 100% qualify. But I’ll agree it’s like Tetris. Are you as heavily squatted as I am when fully loaded?

Except they have an questionable weight rating, how could they carry more weight than the factory rack without any front support, your hard top is not that strong?I realllly like those half racks for the 2 door.
I’ve never actually looked into them I just like the looksExcept they have an questionable weight rating, how could they carry more weight than the factory rack without any front support, your hard top is not that strong?
Hey I'm always interested in how Roof Racks are being used for storage and not RTTs. Show me your configurations of storage on your Roof Racks. This is my configuration that I used for a 5 day camping trip To Falls Lake North Carolina.

It’s a good question, I think it squats because of where the weight is, while carrying a lot, it’s a majority of light stuff. RTT is 150lbs, front storage only has blankets and pillows, it’s less than 50lbsWhat's your GVW, you look massively overweight?
You bring the generator for the Microwave and AC ? lol
The RCI rack rest on the body of the truck, not the MIC. This picture is the most I've had on top and there was no issues. To be honest, eveything except the awning and Roam box is off the rack by the time we hit the trails.Your set up looks nice, but, with all the MIC top issues, I would be worried about the top cracking/other. The weight load for the MIC while moving is 110 pounds, 400 pounds static.
Add: I could never reach up that high or handle the weight either.
Very nice. Mine comes off for exploring as well.Apparently, I don't take many photos of the rig packed... The only one I can find is from a couple years ago on a shorter trip but with a full load to test things. There's not a ton inside due to the dog bed setup, so most is on top of a half rack on a 2-door.

Up top is a gazelle tent (bulky but comfy) and two frontrunner typhoon duffle bags with sleeping bags/pads, two camp chairs, clothes, etc. The gear up top is bulky but lightweight and nothing is permanent up there. It comes off to explore and I prefer not to move camp every night anyway.
Inside there's a cooler, 20L water jug, and two crates under the dog bed with food, dishes, stove, etc.
These days the inside setup is a bit different, so I'm trying to have less on top, but there's still not a ton of space in a 2 door.
Nice shot there. I like how you are storing your ratchet straps.
Ah....that is a good thing, weight on the body. ThxThe RCI rack rest on the body of the truck, not the MIC. This picture is the most I've had on top and there was no issues. To be honest, eveything except the awning and Roam box is off the rack by the time we hit the trails.
What kind of fender option are you using??? Nice set-up!I do two Roam 128s on top, and used to have a roam 95 perpendicular and two Wolfpack pros in front, two Wolfpack pros on the spare tire platform.
this is for glamp tent camping for four people (me, wife, two kids).
changed things up on last trip:
still have two roam 128s on top; a roam 95 on the spare tire platform, and two monster dive bomb industries bags on the front. They have a hest foamy, pillow and bedding in each (sleep in comfort!)
