Just flashed Rev 1 of the E30 tune and she’s feeling spicy. Hope to get the E30 tune wrapped up this week.

A buddy and I are going to install the Hoss 3.0 shocks and new UCAs this weekend.

Any clutch slippage with the E30?

Haven't tried to launch it yet. I'll probably wait until the E30 tune is fully dialed in. I will say, the E30 tune feels much more substantial when compared to the 93 tune. It's provides the power I was waiting for and I'm excited to see if there's more juice in the tank...

That said, I hate mixing fuels, so I might be looking into an upgraded HPFP & injectors sooner than later... :)

I hate doing E30 calculations, I did it for almost a year on my GTI while waiting for flex fuel setups to be available.

Would I do it again? Probably… 🤣

LOL - I hear you. Nostrum makes HPFPs and injectors for the 2.3 Ranger so they should be compatible. I think Adam at ZFG Racing is in the process of testing it out with a 2.3 Bronco customer, so we'll find out at some point soon. I don't plan on going beyond the capability of the stock motor, so the entry level HPFP and injectors should be enough.

I installed the HOSS 3.0 shocks and Pro Comp UCAs over the weekend with a friend. To my surprise, the truck is sitting almost perfectly level: 40” in the front and 40 1/8” in the rear. These reportedly came off a 4-door Wildtrak. While the ride is a bit stiff around town, the highway feel is significantly smoother, and it takes bumps like a champ. I'll likely need to look into a rear sway bar solution next, as I’m noticing a bit more body roll. Going to beef up the steering a little and brakes are needed soon too... 💸💸💸

I swapped in a set of Wildtrak 4 door takeoffs and had the same observations.
It's a great upgrade, looking into a rear bar also.

The E30 tune is officially wrapped up! After 4 revisions, the Bronco feels like a completely different animal compared to stock. I’ll provide a deep dive once I have more seat time, but the power increase is awesome :muscle:

Unfortunately, it appears the stock clutch is officially the bottleneck. It can’t keep up with fast shifts anymore, so my next Dragy runs might look a bit "relaxed" while I baby the transmission. If you’re running the 10R60 automatic, you're in the clear. I'll have some In-cab videos of the gauges coming soon - Might give an idea of the power increase, but hard to capture without proper numbers.

RIP my clutch when my upgraded turbo goes in...

Going to schedule some dyno time real soon!

Probably should do a new clutch before you do the turbo then. Anyone know if the auto trans flex plate has the same ring gear diameter as the manual flywheel? If that’s the case quartermaster will make you a button style twin disk that stacks on top of the flex plate for fairly cheap.

Update:

I recently installed the GPE ported intake manifold and throttle body. The install was straightforward—arguably easier than the 2.7L. While the power gains are modest, the throttle response is noticeably sharper and the power delivery is much smoother, making a significant difference in daily drivability.

I also swapped the CVF cold air intake for an Injen unit. There was nothing wrong with the CVF, but I was missing the turbo sounds. Having run an Injen on my 2.7, I knew it would deliver 😃

Also, Bronco hits the dyno Monday morning. Stay tuned for the results!
