2.3L engine sounds terrible.

Please listen to this video. It sounds terrible. Checked all the fluids.

Is this the way the Bronco 2.3L engines are supposed to sound? Only has about 2500 miles. With the hood closed sounds like the engine is ticking.

I have the 2.7 in my Bronco and a 3.5 in my Explorer Interceptor, the ecoboosts sound very ticky like that, I'm still not used to it, nor do I like it, I miss my V8 rumble.

sounds like every other 4cyl EB(and i see alot on a daily basis)wonder if a engine cover might dampen noise slightly?

Camera and phone microphones often pick up and amplify sounds that your ears don’t find offensive

My 2019 2.3L Ranger sounds like that (not quite as loud - probably phone amplified) - normal.

Sounds like just about every other modern direct injected motor, the high-pressure injectors are very loud. Haven't looked at the 2.3 ecoboost, but the 2-liter ecotec GM motor actually has a foam insulator that encases the injectors to quiet them down a little (doesn't help too much).

Hmm sounds a little loud like a chattering noise. hard to decipher from the video versus actually hearing it in person. Best to compare it to another one, two or three 2.3's and see if they also have that sound.

Direct injection. My 2.3 sounds the same, so did my 2.7 and 3.5.

Was the engine cold when you took this video? I find my 2.3 to be noisier until it warms up a bit. Nevertheless seems normal to me

Direct injection is noisy, especially at startup.
