I wonder how long this will continue before they just scrap the MY2021 plans all together?
Not that I care much either way, but having a rare-ish 21 would be a nice little kicker. Depreciation is not a concern of mine at all at this point.

My biggest concern is...what model/color/options will get it to me sooner??? LMAO!

The headline "no manual sasquatch" got my attention, but that is just until 2022. No surprise,I figured 2022 anyways with how things are going...

But then I wonder if perhaps the headline is an unintended glimpse into the future...

...a watched pot never boils...

Clinging on. Lease extension expires end of August. Have a very late Day 1 ressie. I was initially thinking I’d be safe, thinking July slips to mid August. I really don’t think I’d be getting this until October/November. Whenever they use a season to pinpoint timing it’s usually to frame around the last week of the season, otherwise they would say the month. Summer to them probably means second week of September. Absolute first deliveries probably mid September with Day 1/2 reservations being from late September into early November.

If you have an order placed and finance through Ford Credit, you can extend the lease month-to-month until you take delivery. I have an after midnight day 1 rez with lease that expires end of August as well. I would imagine there weren't a ton(relatively speaking) of day 1 rez's actually placed with the site being mostly unusable for a few hours after launch.

And this is why used vehicles have a high trade in value. As much as I am wanting my new Bronco, production efforts across the automobile industry have been impacted by the "VID". It is unfortunate, but the world we live in. On the plus side 2021 is only 26 days away!!

Looks like this sorta gives me an answer I was looking for. I reserved a BD on 7/23 but wanted to change to a BL. All this push back after Ford comes out and announces makes me a little skeptical that they are over promising. I am looking to get a Colorado ZR2 for a couple years until more accessories are out for the Bronco and I can spec it out the way I’d love to. Still waiting until January to decide.

So my big question is.. when will orders be for the MY22 be available, and when will those models land? If an early reso might not get you a truck until July, then waiting for a 22 with the better options might make a lot more sense. I just dont get the value of getting a MY21 mid year with lousy options

Less production = higher value. Supply and demand.

Wife says this gives Toyota more time to drop the new 4runner bomb.

I'm doing everything I can to prevent her buying another Jeep (not that I dislike them, we own 2, but I like my f150 more) and Ive been fighting off her itch for the 2023 4runner.

Hence why I have 3 reservations. If she doesn't like the MY21, ok here is your MY22 order, oh you like MY23 options here is that order. Anything to keep her attention off the other 2 brands.

This may have been said, but just wondering why Ford doesn't just drop the 21MY and make it 22MY as the inception year? New car models are always coming out during summer anyway and that way more initial reservations can have the first year model...
Give it time.

I'm a late rez (mid Aug) so I already was HOPING for August delivery give or take a month. Now...well, it'll be frosty around here. Oh, well. What you going to do? Not buying a danged Gladiator.
My reservation is 7/24, I figured on getting my Bronco in October. Now probably December, Merry Christmas!

I don't think you would need 3 reservations; You should be able to simply hold out for the MY22 instead of ordering right off the rip. And you would keep your place in line so you may get the first or early MY22, MY23, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
