Honestly, I am fine with this. Sure, I'm going to be losing the space my ol Tacoma offers via its bed, but I'll survive. I plan to get a hitch for trailering anything large I may need to move. Any time I go camping and the like, it's with a group of friends so the load inevitably gets spread among multiple vehicles anyway.

I thought this was supposed to be bigger than the Jeep? The two door looks like less rear leg room than a TJ and the 4dr cargo looks the same if not smaller than a wrangler
I had a TJ and this looks WAY roomier

losing 4 inches of vertical space in the car is NOTHING compared to gaining feet of horizontal space

so yes that is literally a good solution
Seems like a terrible solution. In this case, you would be losing vertical space and gaining nothing in horizontal space. I understand the convenience of a flat load floor, but no reason to force everyone to give up that extra vertical space.

It’s a real bummer that the seats don’t at least fold flat in the two door. Storage looks like it will be an issue even when just using it for modest outdoor activities like fishing and camping.

Think the photos will all the Squatched/jacked up concepts had many of us thinking it will be substantially bigger than a Wrangler. With a few notable differences (trunk space on the 2 door for example) the dimensions are largely similar to a Wranger. Rear legroom is almost identical etc. If you’re expecting a bigger vehicle vehicle you’ll be disappointed

For reference:

my current '03 corolla has 13.6 cu.ft of space
2018 mazda 3 has 20.2 cu.ft of space
2020 4 door Golf GTI hatchback has 22.8 cu.ft of space
2021 Honda HRV has 24.3 cu.ft of space

2021 2-Door bronco has 22.4 cu.ft of space
2021 2-Door wrangler has 12.9 cu.ft of space

As far as volume is concerned, the trunk of 2 Door Bronco is that of a sub-compact to midsize Hatchback.

The dimensions of the volume (tall and skinny) are another matter.

It's just me and the wife, plus our dog. But we may have a kid one day - so part of me just wants to get the two-door, drive it for a year or 2, then sell it and get a bigger one. But now I am torn. Dammit, I'm running out of time. Wife as an SUV (4-door). Maybe I just say fuck it.

2 door should be fine for 2 or 3 bags of groceries in back without lowering the seats. When we go camping, we can lower the seats for the extra equipment. Added roof rails for more storage if needed.

My plan is to remove the back seats on Day 2 anyway. I can't wait to see how much storage area I will have then.

Big cooler... The Yeti Tundra 45 and similar will fit no problem with seats upright. Perfect for day trip. Anything more than a day and I'll have a fridge so I'm not worring about ice and such.

Maybe some of the people who want the two door to have more cargo space should buy a 1976 Thunderbird.
I feel like one of the few people in this thread to be qualified to reply to this statement... if only because I have a '61 Thunderbird. (y)

There's a difference between spaces enclosed entirely by metal, and an open space for storage which uses glass as the retaining material at it's upper portions like Bronco.

That being said, the storage in the trunk of my '61 Thunderbird is substantial. I can easily lay in it to do whatever work is required in there. Could most likely dump 2.5 or possibly 3 bodies back there. In a 2-door bronco you're limited in that you would have to push the corpses through the rear window (or side windows with Mod top!) but you're only getting 2 bodies in there at most before it's visible to the outside.

FWIW: i'm getting a 2-door Bronco and think it has plenty of rear storage space. In fact, i'm betting that even in the 2-door Bronco, I could get sparky and his bottle of Co2 back there same as in the '51. The bottle would have to be turned, of course, and the Bronco's spare tire wouldn't be in the trunk.

Ford Bronco 2-door storage area pic (seats up + tailgate closed) has me reconsidering New welder

Trunk runs from bumper to rear window, only limited by the incredibly low trunk lid height and the fact the fuel tank is under the trunk. you can't fit corpses on their sides, must be on back or front, limiting it to a 3-corpse trunk at best.

I'm in a similar boat. It's just me and my wife (no dog, no kids)

My wife said, "we already have a 4 door, get a two door."

And honestly, if a second 4 door A-to-B car is needed, we can probably get something used for under 15k, four of which can come from what we would have spent on the 4 door bronco. ;)
