Given that all First Editions must be 2021 models and that the MOD top will not be available until years end or into 2022.....everyone must take
delivery of the MIC top which is probably not nearly as desirable as the MOD top for say 1/2 of the 7000 First Edition buyers.
Since all First edition buyers are being forced into the MIC top, Ford should make the MOD top available at COST, not the typical dealer mark
up for one as it becomes available thru Ford parts Department later this year or early next.
I was told by the Ford Marketing Dept, Bronco Specialist that once the MOD top is available it could be purchased not only at a REDUCED price
but that it also would come PAINTED from Ford. Thats great news. Lets see further clarification and pricing from Ford now, not later on the issue.
I can imagine a scenario where probably at least I/2 of all the First edition buyers will end up purchasing a second mod top later in the year, therefore these owners will have TWO tops for their bronco....a MOD and a MIC top. Thats a lot of money and extra tops sitting around that no one needs or wants. Seems like a better solution to the whole situation would be for Ford to offer the bronco with a soft top now and then buyers could add the MOD top once available, or better yet allow the buyers of the First Edition to trade back in the TEMPORARY MIC top back to Ford once they can buy the MOD top.
Looking for support or input from other First Edition buyers......maybe Ford will re-think the situation as they did with the color of the interior and manual transmission issues.
Thanks.....
