Does anyone know if there will be a 'valet' mode? In particular I'd like to be able to prevent the uneducated and curious from engaging lockers and other than 'normal' GOAT modes? (As a teen, if my daddy told me to leave it alone it would be the first thing I'd do. Suffer the consequences :) )
Was talking to a rep at the Garnet Ford show yesterday but he wasn't sure.

That would be a good thing to have. Seems like all they would have to do is some programming into the control system that could only be turned off by a code.

You might be able to do something with fords mykey system. I know it can disable radio unless you put a seatbelt on and I think it can set top speeds. Not so sure about drive modes though

That is our best hope. I'm not sure which parts of the system MyKeys are given access to, but I would love it if Ford did that; a lot of valet around here.

You can rent a Jeep on Turo so I'm sure somebody will be renting out their Bronco.

Yeah it sounded like you could really lock down you Bronco based on the key Fob. Part that scares me is if you lose that Master Fob you are sol.

Whether it locks out Goats or hero switches...one would hope but not sure.

couple show up on Amazon, not a bad idea with the scanners the pros use. At least at home I'll get a faraday box to keep the key in by the front door, will look nicer than just the keys too and no scan and go for thieves. I think I'll also have ravelco install their no jump start tech, seems worth it in such a high demand vehicle. Don't want it to end up on a container to who knows where.

I searched for 'faraday key fob protector'. Some cheap, some fancier.

are you expecting the valet to take the car to moab?

why would he want the offroad drive modes at any normal spot that a valet would be present? (mostly urban)

I would assume bronco has the "standard" ford valet mode, which just locks your sync personal data, so they cant see home address and phone book.

you can disable radio with mykey, and I think you can set maximum speed, but it doesnt let it be locked that low, as that could be a safety hazard if the car cant keep up with traffic or pull out into traffic.
I want to keep the valet from driving it aroung the parking garage with the front and rear lockers engaged. ( Or at least not have to worry about it ).
