Hey, if you like the black/dark wheel look, more power to you. I'm in my early 60's and I like a nice chrome or aluminum wheel. The Big Bend comes with the dark grey wheels which for me is better than black, but nowhere near what I really like. So, who plans to purchase aftermarket wheels and keep the factory rubber upon purchase?

Also, as of 7:30am today (July 17th), Tirerack.com is not showing any wheels for the new Bronco. Also, it has a 6 bolt pattern. Wonder if this will cause a delay in getting new wheels to market?

As of this morning I've done a 180 and am thinking white steelies w/ chrome in the middle and decent sized tires, but not over the top. I live at the beach. The idea of configuring a cruiser looking a lot like this is really growing on me.

That would look like a Hot Wheels car.
I see you own a '74 Bronco. What do you believe the sweet spot would be regarding wheel and tire size if shooting for the EB vibe?

Not so much for an EB vibe but in my opinion is "the rim diameter to be no more than half the tire diameter". So a 20" rim would be good for running 40" tires, 17" rim for 35" tires but due to the bigger brakes on newer vehicles 15" rims look like a thing of the past.
I like small as possible wheels so when I air down for sand duty, I gain a larger contact patch for floatation.
That's just my opinion.:)

I'm waiting till my Bronco is officially ordered, then I can still take my time. Maybe for the right deal or wheel.

With that said I'll be going 20x9 with 35-12.50s. Not a hardcore off road person, maybe a nice trip on a well established trail.

Keep the stockers for winter time.

Great to see everybody already planning on going full bro truck. 20" chrome wheels on a 4wd, make sure you get a zero offset and spacers so the body sits all the way in between the tires.

I plan to put procomps, same as the truck in my avatar, but 17s w/37x12.5x17 bfg km3. I just checked procomp's site and they do make that wheel in 6x5.5, but it's 4.25 backspacing! Anybody know the stock backspacing yet?

If I am able to order a bronco with 33's I will upgrade the wheels from 17x8 to 17x8.5 or maybe 17x9

8 inches is a little narrower than what the tire manufactures recommend for 33's

I might even try to find a 33 tire that's a inch or so wider than the 33's BFG's then pick a wheel better suited for those tires
