Have any of you been keeping an eye on active and sold FE listings? Does this make you consider selling yours? Personally I have no intention of doing so, though it does make me feel a bit more cautious knowing I'm driving a 90-100k vehicle instead of a 60-70k.

Also, is it true the last digits of your VIN are how close to first your build is? For example the second listing below mentions being the 273rd FE Bronco built, and 273 were the last digits of their VIN (as they posted the window sticker in the pictures). The other listings have done the same, with the last digits of their VIN being what they consider their build numbers.

I’m considering committing the ultimate sin. I went to a jeep dealer and inquired about trading my bronco on a 392 wrangler or Trx. If I can flip a 62k vehicle into a 80-90k vehicle I might just do it.

I call total BS on the FE build number within the VIN. What about the thousands of other broncos being built at the same time?

You're not driving a 90-100k vehicle. It is a $60k vehicle. Just because a few morons pay way more than what it's worth doesn't mean anything.

Kinda like how paying a scalper $1500 for a Playstation doesn't make it worth $1500. Just makes the buyer an idiot with a $500 Playstation and the equivalent of a thousand dollar candle 🔥

It may be a "100k vehicle", but only until the hype wears down. Drive it like you stole it! Or flip it right away for 20k profit 😜

Same build and same position. I haven’t seen a single 2 door FE delivered, so I believe we are the first. My bet is they are held up due to the roofs.
You are not providing a ton of hope for me as I was a 7/21 build and I am just sitting no built email…although modules are in and sync was updated….just send it in the Bestop for now please!!! Get the tops perfected and then send me one!!

I appreciate your point, but isn't what someone is willing to pay, the value? Granted this bubble may not last forever, but if someone else values my FE for $90k, I might be driving it home a little more cautiously...

I didn't know what to make of that either. I don't know if someone has cracked the VIN code, but on the three listings I posted pictures of, the last of their VINS were MLA40430, MLA40273, and MLA20041, and they called themselves the 430th, 273rd, and 41st Bronco FEs built. Maybe an earlier part of the VIN identifies it as an FE and then the last 4 digits or so are the build numbers?

There's a dozen hot dog stands in town. They all use the same brand of wiener. At 11 of these, a hot dog is $2.00. Stand #12 sells their hot dog for $6.00. Someone buys a $6 hot dog because they have no sense and don't know better, and/or they are too lazy to walk next door.

Does that increase the value of the other 11 hot dogs?

When there's plenty of dealers at or below MSRP, paying $90k for one just makes you a fool.

The difference here is that these hot dogs are all sold out and the only way to get one is through someone who has already bought one, meaning MSRP is out the window and if you want one of those juicy dogs, you're gonna have to fork over however much the original buyer wants to sell it for.

And there's one born every minute. I kinda get the theory, because I resell hyped sneakers to support my sneaker addiction. It's kinda similar. Even though retail on a pair of Jordan's is $170, I still feel differently about wearing them because they are going for 2k on the resell market.

Well if that holds any truth, I've got FE #1182. Quite a boring number actually. I was hoping for 666, 1111, 2222, 1234 etc. Doesn't really matter anyway, they fucked us out of our number plates so it's all just a guess at this point.

All boils down to how bad you want a first edition wiener. Yeah they’re others like it but not the first edition weiner.

Mine would be #1479 with a build week of 23 August. Does this timing line up with the theory so far?
