HahaâŚglad this helped! Not sure if you saw my follow-up post but this fix worked immediately for me. I havenât had a leak since and all I did was add the missing nuts on the bolts. Ford never responded or commented on my post, but like I mentioned, I think this impacted a lot of Broncos so wish...
Yes. Itâs easy enough. You just need to disconnect the brackets that attach to the rear roll-bar and the ones the attach on the sides and install those on the Bronco first. You can leave all the bows connected and Velcroâd to the canvas. Then you just attach them back to those brackets.
The rear door opens the same. Itâs not impacted by the trektop at all. To lift the back window on the trek top you just pull it up and rest on top of the roof. Itâs somewhat annoying to clip the window back in place on the sides after opening, but not terrible.
I havenât really noticed much...
Just an FYI for everyone following this thread. I had my dealer order and add the nuts to the bolts highlighted above and this completely fixed my leak. As I inferred, the leak was caused from water getting into the sealed channel along the A-Pillar. This is supposed to happen, and there are...

I also stand inside on my 2Dr and fold it back from the middle. I feel like I can do it from the side (outside the vehicle) but the bows and cross bars bend and seem to have a lot of tension so Iâm afraid it will break. I havenât put my trektop back on this summerâŚneed to do it this weekend I...
I also have this leak, had it in the dealer and still leaking. I did some investigation under the interior trim and noticed the two drivers side bolts holding the header seal to the body are missing the nuts. Does anyone know the size or part number of those bolts to order @Ford Motor Company...
@srick76 or @flip do you know what size nut or the part number you should use for this (pic below the of the bolts from the TSB)?
I also have this leak and took to the dealer but itâs still leaking. I did some investigating under the interior trim and noticed there were no nuts on the two...
Thanks @flip. I always park it with a garbage bag and towel on the dash over the hero switches. Of course I thought the issue was fixed by the dealer so didnât do it on the last wash and now my screen is cloudy again. Iâm also worried what all the water going through the over head lights and aux...
@flip do you know if the hero switches are supposed to be sealed or is that gap actually supposed to be there. Seems like real flaw for an open top vehicle to have a really easy way for water to drip all over electronics...
I have the exact same issue, and coincidentally (or not) the same model (2 Door Black Diamond) and Iâm located on Long Island. My electronics still work but the screen is all cloudy now. I brought it in to have it fixed but just washed my car this weekend and the same thing happened with the...
Great infoâŚThanks! Planning on installing mine this weekend, itâs been sitting in the box 5 months now. Hopefully thereâs no damage. Was also worried about scratching the roll bar. Does anyplace just sell vinyl sheets you can cut and wrap yourself?
Thanks @jasonfâŚand can you keep the hard top (excluding the brackets that were on the frame) all assembled when you store them? Then just attach the brackets and spread the top with the bars over and screw it all in? I just want to know how much can be kept together or if the whole thing needs...
@Bestop_Team, sorry I donât mean what can stay attached to the truck. I mean can you keep the twill, and the cross bars, etc. attached to each other and store in the garage all assembled. Then just attach it again right to the truck or do you need to dissemble everything to but back on?
