I think they purposely stepped in and did that because they didn't want people putting on catch cans...the 21 and 22 part is only like 10 bucks (so I didn't care about breaking the retainer) and I'm not even sure if the 23 part is available yet and I think that was done on purpose as well.
Well I hope not. Update, unscrewed and emptied both cans, PCV side did have a bit of watery oil, CCV side really had nothing to speak of. Restarted and no engine light. I will have to see what happens from hear. I still need to find a back up CCV hose. Also wondering if it keeps happening, could I just replace CCV to stock and leave PCV side attached? That's the side that matters anyway, although, Mishimoto should send me the single and refund the difference and I will return this dual, if they want it. By the way, my Ford app still showing the warning ⚠ even though when I started it up, the engine light was not on🤔

How did you clear the code? I disconnected negative battery terminal for about 15 minutes, didn't help.🫤
Sorry you are having the same issue. I used forscan to reset the code. The App kept the error for a couple days before it cleared. Also, just an FYI Mishomoto was not helpful in the return process at all. After two weeks they still had not processed anything and had no information on when they would get to it. The vendor was great and finally just refunded me out his pocket to get me taken care of so I don't know if or when he actually got paid from Mishimoto. If you at least kept the hose you can get these from UPR as that is what I got and put the original hose back on:

Straight Replacement Fitting

90 Degree Replacement Fitting

Lastly if you want a faster response you might tag @Mishimoto on them although they didn't provide any help for me they may be helpful for you.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I thew out the hose. I will probably stop by Ford and see if parts dept. can get me one. Hoping the light stays off for now, not counting on it. Thinking if I can reconnect the CCV side, I can just leave the other side and still get the benefit of the single can. Mishimoto needs to come up with a fix, $400 is a lot of $$ for it to be a problem.

I am not sure. I just saw the Ford Pass App state Crankcase Ventilation Hose Sensor and figured that was the CCV side. When I would clear the code it would just come back within 3 days. Removing the CCV side it would not come back.

word to the wise: clearing an error code without solving the issue is just hiding it ..... it will not solve the problem

Just today my engine light came on. Says it's the CCV sensor. I also have the dual catch cans. I've had them on for over a thousand miles and today the light came on. Also had to break one end of the stock hose to get it off, I through it away.🫤
Hey @Geronimo - Sorry for the CEL on your Bronco. That's super frustrating that the catch can worked fine for over 1,000 miles and then popped up. Will you please do me a favor and submit a ticket to our Customer Service Team? Feel free to reach out to them via this link or email them at [email protected]. This is the best way for us to track these issues. Feel free to let them know I asked you to send the ticket.

From chatting with our local Ford dealer (and providing them multiple VINs from 2021 through 2023 Broncos), the OEM CCV hose part number is MB3Z-6758-J. The best way to figure out the exact replacement OEM hose you need is to contact a Ford dealer and provide them with your VIN.

We are in the process of removing 2023 model years from the fitment of our DUAL Catch Can System (both PCV + CCV sides), given the feedback from forum members here. In order to investigate this further, we need a 100% stock 2023 2.7L EcoBoost Bronco in our R&D facility (New Castle, DE). If anyone in the community has one, and is local, we'd love to borrow your Bronco for R&D! Please reach out to me via DM.

Thanks for the reply. I did email the company but haven't heard back. I ordered the CCV replacement hose from local Ford dealership today, should have it tomorrow. Removing the cans and emptying the PCV side, which did have a little bit in the bottom, CCV side nothing to empty, and then replacing both, for some reason my engine light is off and CCV code is gone. Going to see if it stays gone.🤞🫤. I really don't see much point in the CCV side can. If that side for some reason causes a problem again, I will replace the factory hose to that side and continue using the PCV side. I just think they should then, send me the single can bracket and different hoses, if needed, and credit the difference of the two systems. Like I said, they haven't responded to me yet.

Just an update, Have driven a few times and so far the code hasn't returned. I imagine it will at some point. Damien at Mishimoto has been responsive and helpful. I ordered the Ford replacement tube for the CCV side. Damien is sending me the bracket and hoses that I will need to convert to single can system. I figure I will convert as soon as the code comes back. Working with my vendor who is working with Mishimoto on partial refund since in the end I end up with single can system which is quite a bit cheaper than the dual setup which has unfortunately caused all the problems.

I did the same delete on CCV side and replaced Mishimoto CCV hoses with OEM hose
Have driven over 200 miles and code has not returned
I’ve also been working with Damien as well.
I’ll request that Damien resolve my code issue like he did for you
Thanks for the update

Technically, disconnecting the CCV side and reconnecting back to stock, leaving the setup works, but doesn't make sense to have that bigger bracket and extra can in there if not being used.🫤 For some reason, I got my code to go away and will at least temporarily leave as double, but I am sure at some point sooner than later, I will be switching to single. By looking at both cans after about 1500 miles, I think the dual can is not really necessary anyway. The PCV side I believe is a good thing to have.

Not sure if you are still looking for a stock hose but I saw this on ebay and it looks just like the stock one.

Thanks, I ordered one from the dealership. Came in the next day. Was $15. Got my single bracket and tubes today. Drove the Bronco quite a few miles today. Still no code. Not going to switch it over until I have to. Not looking forward to it until I need to.🫤 Maybe I'll get lucky and it won't happen again.🤞

Just to update everyone, about 500 miles and out of town, light is back on.🫤. I did bring the new stock CCV tube/hose with me, so tomorrow I will disconnect CCV catch can hoses and replace the stock CCV tube. Need to be refunded the difference in the two systems as the single system which is now what I will be using is $180 less than the dual system that I paid for which won't work properly.

Just remember that Shitimoto pays around $8 for a Chinese can they sell you

Thanks for the update.
My CEL is still OFF since my CCV switch back to OE CCV hose.
Please update again after your replacement back to OE CCV
