Bedliner spray on the hard top roof + fender flares? Yes please!

This is a concern of mine. I’ve been on the fence for a long time about getting a roof rack. My roof degradation was only getting worse so I felt like I needed to do something about it. It will be a puzzle for me to solve should I ever decide to get one.

If you know anyone near you who does have a rack, I bet you could talk them into letting you try out theirs to see if it fits. Theirs might be easier to remove than mine is. Perhaps a couple beers could do it.

Or, if you intend to install a rack permanently, you could probably sand down the liner on the inside of the ridges that run the length of the roof, near where the clamps go, and get it to work that way. Out of sight for everyone but truckers and NBA players.

Turned out nice.
They did a good job with the sheen and texture being uniform.
I've done several Jeep tops and all are still going strong as far as I know (no complaints or returns).

Thought it would suck as lots of ranchers in TX spray old rusty trucks for hunting with that stuff, but it actually almost looks OEM. I can see dealers upselling this already as a solution for cracking tops.

Do you have any photos of the roof issues before the coating?

There was also a crack forming on top of the roof. The driver panel had the pattern pictured below across a lot of its surface.

My hard top, like many others, has had a mismatched shade of gray on one panel since day 1. I’ve lived with it since it wasn’t that noticeable. Three and a half years later, it’s developed the snakeskin surface cracks pretty bad. My dealership wouldn’t help me for smaller problems so I knew they wouldn’t help here, especially with the 3 year warranty being up. I really don’t want a soft top, so I decided there was nothing to lose and I had spray-on bedliner applied to the roof. I had the fender flares done as well since they became a bit discolored and beat up. It also looks way better to have the roof and flares match, in my opinion. I’m really happy with how this turned out. I think the Bronco should have looked like this from the factory. Big thanks to Oregon Truck and Auto Authority in Central Point, Oregon.

Now All you need is to get Plastic bumper covers done. That would look awesome and possibly easier to clean.

Just got done today so too soon to tell. I doubt it though. The wind noise problem is more so with leaks in the weatherseals than the roof itself.

I Sprayed rubbers with Silicon. At least should keep rubbers from drying out and may help slightly to reduce wind noise etc.

Is that Bedliner Available in White. I have Heritage with White Roof, think White Wheel lips and roof with same texture would be interesting to look at.

I believe other colors are available. I only wanted black so I didn't ask.

Did mine when I first bought it. I had line X’d some after market steel bumpers on my RAM 2500 years prior and really loved the easy care and great look. I added in a little custom touch to the rear fenders on the Sasquatch too

Any shop that does spray-on bedliner application. If you have multiple options in your area, I would look for somebody who has experience applying it to Jeeps and not just truck beds. The guy at my local shop told me this was the first Bronco he's done this to, but he's done it before for multiple Jeeps.

What product did the bedliner applicator use (Line-X, Mil+Spec?), and did they also spray on a UV resistant topcoat? Thanks.

It’s a product called Legacy, and it’s the Premier tier which has UV protection.

You’re right, looks much better. When looking for it can notice the lighter shade on the rear panel but looks good overall with the match to flares.
