Price the Ford ESP warranty with Flood, Ziegler, and Granger Ford dealers. They're always $1k+ cheaper than your local dealer. It is still true that if you sell your truck you can get the pro-rated amount refunded. I know from personal experience in 2025 when I sold my Sport. I will be getting a warranty from one of those 3 mentioned once my manufacturer warranty is about to expire.

I wouldn't have a new Ford without the ESP. I got mine to 175k. On my previous F250 they covered an $8,000+ repair.
Ford wanted $8K for a full extended warranty in Canada....rip off lime everything else the only thing I buy in Canada is fuel, food, and alchohol which miraculously has not been affected by inflation in 6 years, except the inflation on 800% alchohol tax take haha.

Yep, my warranty is up in 4 months and at my last service i asked about it just for sh and giggles as I expected to be costly as people who I have asked said could be around the 5 to 6 thousand mark and as a retired truck and car mechanic I have no issue doing most repairs, but the cost of the parts to me is a bigger concern. In the end I jumped on a 7 year deal only because my mileage is so low kept the price at $3000 Canadian. Zero deductible, road side assistance and rental coverage. They also mentioned that the price was about to go up, so ya.
I think you all now that a 7 year deal doesn't mean 7 more years it adds 4 years on top of the OEM warranty.

I'm in the same boat - my 3yr / 36k warranty on my '23 Badlands expires in June.

That being said, I have aftermarket parts (Eibach coilovers, UCAs) and plan to do more suspension upgrades.

My concern is that all the aftermarket stuff will be an automatic "Not covered" by the extended warranty and it's just money down the drain.

It is nothing more than a wager. Truth is you are basically pre paying for a repair. The wager is if a future repair would cost more then the price of the extended warranty. I keep vehicles forever but have only purchased the extended warranty twice. My 2011 F150 Lariat, never used the extended warranty. ( Still own the truck). I purchased the Bronco extended warranty right as my factory warranty was set to expire. I did so because one can “ select” the warranty that meets their need. Example, I am retired. My 2022 BadLands has only 14K miles on it. Due to the low mileage usage I selected a warranty that provided extra years and lower mileage. BTW, Ford allows the option to pay monthly for the warranty at zero interest. At least they did a while back. BTW, the extended warranty does NOT cover the MIC tops.
What company did you use for the extended warranty?
I’m looking at the Granger Ford warranty, but not sure if they are good or not.

I went through Ford. No dealership. Actually they sent me info in the mail, and I went on line and looked up the plans.

Granger is on this forum - they have their own posts, they're excellent. Definitely paying more if you go through your local dealership. Although if you live in FL or CA you are SOOL, those states won't allow you to purchase it this way. https://www.grangerfordprotect.com/

I would try and get your local dealer to write down that it includes the hardtop.

If he won't agree to that... use it as a negotiation tactic and get the price down at least another $500.

In addition, I wouldn't spend over $1500 for an extended plan that didn't cover you for another 4 years, and 40,000 miles.

Maybe the question for this forum should also be... "How much did you pay"?

To help that along...

I paid $2000 for a 7-year (4 more years) 60,000 contract (I knew I wouldn't get to 60K in 7 years) on my 2Dr Base with V6/Auto.

I think my daughter paid $2000 for a 7-year 70k contract on here 2023 4-door OBX with high-package & V6/auto.

Ford wouldn't sell the warranty if it wasn't a profit center for them.

But if you insist on getting one, buy it from either Flood or Granger. They will give you the best price.

Grainger charged us $1710 for 8yr/100k of OEM Ford Premium Care ($100 ded) almost 3 years ago. This price included the extra cost to cover all interior/exterior LED lighting. I believe one headlight for a Badlands costs around $2000.

Just checked current pricing at GraingerWarranty.com. Same 8yr/100k Premium Care ($100 ded) is now $2295. Can't buy LED coverage separately any more. It's now bundled with rental and key coverage for additional $430.

My 2023 Bronco has the factory warranty expiring next month. I wanted to check with the group whether they suggest purchasing an extended warranty. I've read mixed things on the forums about them not covering various items (hardtops, vinyl seat tears, etc.) Was wondering if anyone else had issues with Ford denying coverage for issues they thought were genuine manufacturer defects?

Thanks!
Having owned many many vehicles including a 40 ft. Diesel Motorhome this is my personal position on EXT Warranties. These warranties are written by lawyers, and NOT your lawyer.
Set aside a monthly allotment in your savings account for such repairs.

buying insurance on a vehicle is a crapshoot, I purchased my thru the dealer I believe is 6 years - 80K miles. So far, my Bronco WT has been flowless, going on 49K miles now. Yes occasionally I do go off the beaten path. If I never get to use it then I will be satisfied, something eventually will fail and most likely it will be after my insurance is no longer viable. :fingerscrossed:

My 2021 has 110,000 miles on it. I got one from an outside company up to 225,000 miles or 7 additional years. It covers all the major systems and 90% of the ancillary stuff. Well worth it.
