Just curious if Bronco forum folks carry emergency food & water in their Broncos just in case they get stuck in an unplanned overnight situation due to weather or some other situation (stuck, mech problem, road closure). If so, what do you carry ... energy bars, dried food, beef jerky, ... beer, and if so, where do you store it?

It's not a bad idea for anyone going off the beaten, or less driven, path.

I have a couple MREs and whole meal energy bars, just in the kit, always on board. And water. Always at least a liter.

My Bronco lives outside during the cold winters so I keep a small cooler with Gatorade bottles and emergency food bars in it. The Gatorade supposedly has a lower freezing point than water and the cooler also seems to help it resist freezing.

I keep a couple water bottles in an old lunch tote, which I hang from the headrest behind the front seat. I should add a snack bar or protein shake. The main reason for it is if I’m out on an errand and decide to take a detour for a local hike. There’s lots of interesting state parks nearby.

Also I always carry an empty OJ or V8 container. Sometimes you gotta go you know. Water bottle openings are too small just sayin’

Or anyone living in places like central Idaho where avalanches, blizzards and mud slides can close a highway for hours or days. Large trees also regularly fall across the highways in bad storms. I was a Boy Scout in a previous century , so i always try to be prepared....

I do. I carry US Coast Guard dry food rations in a drawer I placed underneath the backseat. I carry more stuff: 4 emergency thermal blankets, 2x2 gallon jerry cans when driving through mountain passes in winter, fully charged jump starter, GMRS radio + handheld ones with the list of repeater frequencies in the area, basic toolset etc. None takes too much space

We do during winter. In NW Montana help can take a long time to arrive and cell service is spotty at best.

Much better than emergency bars, and actually tastes good. Try their sample kit if you want to test it out before committing.

I keep 3 packages of mountain house camp food and a jet boil stove in my truck and some water. I have a full drawer setup in my trunk for storing everything. In addition, I have a spare set of clothes, some jackets and a blanket on top of the sleeping bag in my rooftop tent, add in a garmin inreach mini, and I’m ready for most situations.
I mainly keep them in the truck because too often I’ll drive somewhere remote to get photos and decide at the last minute to camp there instead of going to the next location, so I don’t need to worry if I have food or not

It really depends on where you go and the access you have to conveniences. In this photo the small case has basic tools, pliers, hammer, screw drivers, receiver hitch, zip ties, duck tape, bungee cords. The large case has water, towel, change of clothes. What you can't see are the pouches on the tailgate molle panel. I have a first aid kit, pouch with leather gloves, knife, tape measure, and a pouch with random ropes and bungees. I also carry a bag full of ratchet straps. Under the back cover I have tow straps, static and dynamic, and soft hitches. I keep water bottles under both front seats.
