I miss the simple bumpers of the 80s & 90s. And I have little use for the fancy new bumpers put out for off-roading. So does anyone know if the old steel bumpers would mount up or if anyone makes that style for the Bronco?

Looking for something like this Ranger bumper or This Bronco II bumper

That.... That sounds horrific. I think I have found a Ranger bumper that would work. I just need to measure everything out and check mounting points.

Yes, you can. Probably need to weld on it a little bit. I'm welding my own front and rear bumpers. The front is test fitted and I'm just working on welding all the seams to get it ready for paint.

Haha AI would render it. Ranger bumper is a great idea. Share the AI renders if you do them?

With enough cutting and welding anything is possible

Those aren't factory bumpers either. They're someone's home-brew bumper, either for stiffness or (in the case of that Bronco II bumper) to more solidly support the swing arm, likely because of bigger/heavier tires. Don't get me wrong they did a good job...but those started in someone's garage/pole barn.

You could fabricate something like that yourself if you're handy with a welder and have the ability to cut steel to size.

Rear mounting points on the 6g are ultra simple, so that could be done. The only important thing would be width. I like the looks of the Ranger step bumper. The Ranger might be too narrow. FWIW the photo for the Bronco II bumper is actually a full size Bronco of the time, it would probably be too wide. . The swing out carrier on the Bronco one would be handy.
