After checking all the additional sound deadening options and explanations of which roof I have and pictures of its interior roof, I find I have the LUX package, the high package and the MOD black exterior roof with white interior and black patches of sound deadening material. My 2024 BL SAS is still too noisy. Has anyone found a SOUND deadener that can be glued/velcro'd over the black patches and covers the entire interior of the top (including the white) that really works? Hot Heads seems to only make sound deadeners for MIC hardtops. Who else makes a quality product?

How loud do you think it is ? Have you measured the DB ? Have you had your hearing checked ?
We have both a 23 Heritage 4dr and a 24 Heritage 2 dr -- Never have to turn radio up past 10 on hwy or raise voices to talk .

I’ve done extensive db testing and deadening. Through out my bronco. The sound in the bronco is actually coming from the floor and bounces off the plastic, windows, and fiberglass. I added kilomat, second skin closed cell foam, turn off-road liner and carpet. All that work lowered if 1.5-2 db. The carpet or deadening even oem works to capture the noise in the cabin. The factory hardtop is not super noisy actually well made.
Perhaps the reverb is what you’re actually hearing.
I will attach some before and after deadening along with the headliner difference. Your results should be less than mine. I have loud upper control arms that really pump noise. The doors need sound proofing too. They are thin to win …. I have a video I’m finishing up the edit to show what $500 -$1000 worth of sound deadening does.
Also for fun compared to an Audi q7

My MOD top is black inside with black sound deadening covering most of it. 69dB at 70mph.

A few months ago spent 14 hours behind the wheel on a road trip with a friend. No noise fatigue and no problem carrying on a conversation in quiet voices.

The MOD top on my '25 is noticeably quieter than the MIC on my '24 was.

So…while I have little data on where the noise is coming from or what the sound levels actually are, I do have the painted top with the black padding in my 25 Badlands.
I had a good bit of Kilmat left over from doing the doors and cargo area, and actually put it under all of the black pads. They come off and reinstall easily. The top SEEMS a bit quieter to me. No data, just my anecdotal experience.

PS. I doubt the black pads do much of anything. They seem to be more aesthetic than functional. They are light, and soft underneath, with no substantial contact with the top itself.

The science behind kilmat and Dynamat is it adds weight to shift the audible frequency of metal to a range we can’t hear. I’ve seen dumbbell weights tacked on to sheet metal to help with subwoofer rattles. It weighs the metal down better.

Adding it to plastic won’t do much. If anything. I’d agree most everything anyone hears is all the echoing. It’s a giant empty box.

Acoustic treatment isn’t easy, but having more breaks in the flat surfaces will help. I bet the cloth seat trucks are perceived as quieter than the vinyl/leather ones. Less deflection.
