Agree as well. Most Bronco buyers are just buying a big, solid feeling, cool-looking station wagon that seems less likely to get stuck in 4” of snow. The higher end of this market will love the Filson trim.
I feel attacked sir, though this is certainly true.

Not sure about that. Plenty of people seem to be interested in going to 37s for looks. I'd bet hard cash that a tire package with 37s would sell more than the V8s people beg for.
I’d concur that an OEM 37” tire package (with Ford-engineered/warrantied suspension and lift) would be a more popular option than a V8. But — both are really performance “enthusiast” options that the broader market upscale customer isn’t very interested in. And spec enthusiasts are not who Ford is going after with the Filson trim. I’m guessing Ford thinks that the customer who wants 37s and raw power is pretty well served by the Braptor.

PS: Interesting numbers on the F-150 Raptor, which is available with 37s: “… The standard 35-inch configuration accounts for roughly 75% of F-150 Raptor production because the 37-inch Performance Package option can add a steep premium (an $11,000+ equipment group upgrade).” —Gemini

There are always *some* customers who want every option. This doesn’t make manufacturing every option a good business decision.

I suppose so, but you could make the same argument for the 2.0/2.3 and evidently they saw enough value the in the latter to fully redo it for the MPC architecture.

I never could figure out why Ford offers bored or stroker versions of their engines as part of their standard lineups, always struck me as odd.
Well at least with the 2.0/2.3 there’s an FWD/RWD component to consider so that tends to help. Also the MPC is also a little more streamlined to be adaptable like that so it’s a moot difference if they cut the smaller ones anyways.

The 37 " tires package on the F150 Raptor is , like you said, far to expensive. The customer could just run to the nearest tire rack or big O tire store and get new tires and wheels for around 50% of fords package...sure you dont get the ridiculous graphics, but some ask for the graphics-delete anyway...or the reduced suspension travel, But i imagine there's plenty of room for most 37s w/o the reduced wheel travel, ( if your ok with a little trimming here and there.

I do think the Filson Bronco should get a more aggressive and possibly larger tire, and a starlink option for the boondocks. The Everglades snorkel should be an option as well.

Coujld even just add longer, or even hydraulic, bump stops to limit suspension travel as well. But you'll wear through shocks quicker since there's more unsprung weight, so bigger fluid reservoirs would be ideal too anyway

I get your point (and personally, I think 4DRs look better with 37s) but you’re thinking how the Filson trim and assorted options could satisfy the people on this forum more fully. But, that’s not its job. The Filson’s job = How does Ford get people who are looking at a Defender or Range Rover Sport or Rivian or G-Wagon to consider a Bronco? These buyers don’t want ‘aggressive’ tires (at the expense of MPG) or a snorkel. They’re likely to never off-road. They want “premium” without needing to understand why. But Starlink, that tracks. I’m sure they’d like to enjoy WiFi in the resort parking lot while visiting Jackson Hole.
