I originally upgraded my rear speakers with 4" Kicker 46CSC44 speakers. I have since bought Mabett's speaker pods and no longer need the OEM pods or the 4" kickers. These came off a 4 door OBX.

I've got a rattle/distortion sound on one of my speakers. I'm wondering if perhaps a clip broke off inside. All the screws are well tightened. I'm afraid to take them apart because they are so fragile. Has anyone take the pods apart and put them back together?
I bought these for the front kickers. Will this (in the correct size) fit in the pods with the speakers or is there something else I should use?

should I get this...
@negativezero Great write up! I didnāt realize you canāt put the speaker cover on with those. @Dadsquatch did your cover go on with the Kicker 47KSC6704?
definitely do the forscan. I put in 4ā kickers a few months ago and it made a huge improvement!
I read somewhere that these fit like a glove. Iāll try to find the post.

Iām not sure why you think itāll scratch. Itās a soft material on the inside. I originally bought the Broncover but had to return it because there was nowhere to tie it on my OBX (Not clipping to painted fenders)
How about changing the volume of any alerts after properly changing the rear speaker output with Forscan :oops:
I didn't even notice the turn signal volume.
I live in South Florida where we have a lot of thunder storms. My issue is not that they turn intermittent (hadn't even noticed that) but that the highest speed is just not fast enough even when on full speed and running properly.
