“ Old”? I was enlisted in the US Coast Guard in the late 1970’s. In fact there is a Cutter, USCG Taney ( last ship that was at Pearl Harbor on December 7 th 1941 that is still a float) that was still commissioned when I was active. That vessel is now a memorial moored in Baltimore harbor. That’s how old I am.

Oh hey, found probably the only other Coastie in this site. I’ve seen the Taney in a flyover of the harbor, pretty damn cool.

All I have is a sticker of a morale patch on my left rear window for being a 65 Flight Mech.
