Similar to my timing. Reservation around 8/15, order 8/18. Four door, soft top BD. I dont think my dealer had a ton of orders.

In this case, it was probably more of an under promise so that you can over deliver… that’s a welcome departure from over promise and under deliver

One way to look at it for sure and fair point. I'm happy for the 2dr and 4dr HT folks. But it was a bit of a bait and switch by Ford. They said 2dr w/o vin will be MY22 and here we are with 2dr previously not assigned vin given production dates.

It's water under bridge for me, but decisions were made based on that communication. Another black eye on the communication front for Ford IMO.

To clarify my last reply I reserved my 2dr. OBX with SAS LUX and leather on the morning of July15 of last year. Placed an order with 1k deposit in Feb of 21 and resigned to the fact that with all of the sins on my order and the email that I had been bumped to 22 that I was not expecting todays email. Hope I don't get screwed too bad when I trade in the BS I just purchased yesterday.

Ordered 4 door Black Diamond Soft top back in July. Received build date today of 11/29. Seems like a lot of us are getting that date. Seems way too good to be true. As with everyone here, my gut is rumbling with excitement, but we all have our doubts. But would be a fricken nice Christmas present.
