I’d take the day off, have colleagues cover for me (like I’ve done for them many times) and be there ASAP. First photo you’d see me post would be taken with my own phone.

I would not tell my wife and kids until I’d completed the paperwork and shown up in the driveway.

Yep. I'd be all over it, standing there counting the minutes in the showroom as they ticked painfully and slowly by while my coveted prize was being PDI'd.
Only so much you can look at and browse.
I go nuts (stir crazy)it seems every time I have to take a vehicle in for service.
I can't imagine the nerves or concept of real time after all of these months, knowing it is right there and about to happen.

The Black Diamond on the upgraded wheels is perfect. The steelies never did anything for me but that is absolutely perfect Bronco to start modding.
I bought it with Steel rims to put after market cleavers on it… its going to be glorious!

Oh I definitely understand that. I already have RTR wheels waiting for my Badlands but something about the black steelies just didnt look right to me. I think it was cause of all the holes. I like the EB 4 hole steelies and I think those woulda been primo. I think the Black Diamond is the sweet spot in the lineup for modding and for folks that want a capable off roader but will stay on the street a lot.

Gotta reiterate two things:

1. Thrilled for this owner and happy he shared the news with us.

2. However, it is maddening to know I changed my order to get mine faster, and the first ones delivered have MIC and tow while my build is a month away. Yes, I’m very grateful I have a build date, but the commodity restraints seem to be a hoax at times and real at other times.

3. Also, maddening and ironic that this Bronco hasn’t been picked up yet! It’s not the owner’s fault (he’s on vacation), but it feels like Ford (or the cosmos) pissing in the faces of those who changed away from MIC, tow, and other “sins” and now see these delivered, as well as those who still have those items on their orders and don’t have a VIN yet and would have picked up their Bronco ASAP.

Of course the Brapter gets the BFG's and my SAS is stuck with the Wranglers! I won't be able to craigslist those Goodyears fast enough after my Day 1 reservation actually arrives sometime in the next 2-20 months.
