Suns out guns out for the Bronco!

After driving around and sitting in it all day with my son, he said to me "Dad, I really wish you wouldn't get rid of the Bronc. It's ours and we get to do fun things in it together"

Pretty sure my wife fed him that line, but after a fierce internal battle (that has raged for weeks) and about 8 beers deep (after we drove, of course), his delivery was perfect and I got teary eyed and said, "I know bud. Don't worry, she's not going anywhere"

And just like that - the "Bronc" became a permanent member of the family yesterday.

Omg you brought tears to my eyes! My grandson didn’t want to stop going yesterday! He helped put the Bimini top on once we learned how from YouTube, how to take the top completely down! He had a friend the other day tell him his momma just bought a new jeep and he was excited. My grandson told him, “I don’t like jeeps. I’m a Bronco person myself.” It has been so worth the wait just for the look on my grandsons face when he got in it for the first time!

God, I will be glad to be done with work!! I, literally, just spent an hour back and forth on email justifying to a vendor why I have a billing address in SC, a driver's license in CA, and a shipping address different from all of them! I get it, fraud protection, but, good grief! A paycheck, closing docs on my house in SC, a utility bill from CA, and multiple contacts for my work......

I feel like Steve Martin, trying to pass a DUI test in Germany....(it's an old movie reference for you youngins!)

The grandson had me running in it all day yesterday! We learned how to take the top down and put the Bimini top on! He wanted to take the doors off but I told him I wanted to wait until I got the permaplate put on it just in case I scratched it, the dealership can fix it! I may have to buy a step stool and keep it in the back for the door taking off thing! Lol!
I will say, I installed the IAG struts for the back and what a total difference it is now to lift the top up! The back lifts itself up and you don’t need to use the bar to keep it up! A definite buy for everyone!

They sent the new mounts without me even knowing why! But the. I read an email stating why o needed to use them! So yep, replaced before even installing!

Some of the neighbor kids ride by and make comments like, "is that your Dad's new jeep?" he's very quick to say, "It's a Bronco!!!"

Do the IAG struts really assist with putting the top back up? I'm in the minority where I don't mind the little kickstand for the rear but I'm 6'1" and (admittedly I have spaghetti arms) I have to start it and then reposition to push it up over and into position. My wife is 5 foot nothing and doesn't stand any chance at all of putting the top up.

If it makes it easier in getting it back up, that's worth its weight in gold.

I haven't finalized that decision yet. I will see how much clearance I have after the 1" Level.

Currently zero rub at full lock with stock suspension and the 34" tires.

It absolutely helps, the top literally lifts itself. Highly recommend.

Yes, but the plastic-hooked bungees that come with the kit are complete garbage. Snapped both of my plastic hooks in the same spot two minutes after finishing the installation.
