I’ll start off by saying I’m a big guy. I’m 6’1”, 270 lbs and all torso. For me, the Bronco seats are plenty wide, but the back of the seat is very short and doesn’t provide any support for my upper back, which causes a lot of upper back and neck pain. I’ve tried multiple things…padded seat covers, seat jackers, and most recently; a powered OBX seat. Nothing has worked… still have pain.
I’ve debated on selling my Bronco, but I truly love it and want to figure out a way to keep it, hence this thread.
Example of my problem:
After some research and some guidance from @Ducati1098 I decided to start looking for a F150 seat. More specifically a 10 way powered seat to match the OBX powered seat that’s currently in my Bronco.
I settled on an 18-20 F150 seat and found one for a great price on eBay. i’ll share more details on the wiring later, but long story short it’s very easy to do. I’m talking with a fabricator right now to see if we can swap the seat bottoms from the stock OEM seat to the F150 seat. I’ll share more details as things progress.
