I think its safe to say the Bronco MPH will at least match what Rubicon gets. Thats been Fords goal all along. Don't give Jeep a leg up on anything. Rubicon is rated at 17/19/23 with 33's and a crap engine. Real world probably isn't that but its what Ford shot for. 21/22/24 is for the 2.0 and Ford's 2.3 will be right there.

I’ve never owned a truck but have driven a few vans and well... trucks. And it’s hilarious to see a gas gauge go down actively when stepping on the gas. I think anyone who has rented a U-Haul could relate.

Granted other cars can do this too but it just seems more prominent whenever I drive bigger vehicles.

Heck my old S2000 and WRX got around 19mpg and they were 4-cyl. If the Bronco could get 19mpg mixed at 5000lbs, lifted and shaped like a bus, then that would be amazing.

Reminds me of when I was a Service Advisor at Delaquis Ford. A family drive in for their first oil change in their brand new 2002 fully loaded Excursion. I welcomed them in and asked how they were enjoying their new ride. “Well, it’s great except for the gas mileage!” the mother blurted out.

I laughed and laughed.

Not the reaction they were looking for. I honestly thought they were joking. They demanded to speak to their salesman. “What are you getting for mileage?” I asked the dad while his wife berated the poor salesman. “About 13-16 mpg”, he said. C’mon, have you seen an Excursion? That’s actually better than I woulda figured.

Yeah who cares about mileage, just range. The Bronco is an ALLROAD fun machine. There is nothing aerodynamic about any parts of the design, particularly the removable doors and roof. Viva air turbulence! Doors off forever!

My V10 Excursion (My 3rd one) averages 8mpg. I love every mile though.

I’d be super happy with that. My Lexus gx470 gets 12.4 with mostly stop and go traffic and gets MAYBE 15 on the highway

Man my V10 Excursion must have been broken. It was not uncommon to see 17mpg. Even towing I am not sure I ever saw single digits.

21/26 for the 2.0 on the Sport. I really won't be the least bit surprised by around 19 on the 2.3 on a bigger, heavier truck.

For everyone getting the 2.7, I wouldn't hold your breath about being able to get 19 unless you drive like an old lady. (And not this old lady, because I like to drive like an irresponsible teenage boy.🤣)

The bronco is basically a huge brick. Did you actually think it would get amazing gas mileage?
Ford Bronco 19.1 MPG? 20210321_085306
yes actually.
Instead of putting a v8 in a car and going with something called eco-boost and ecoboost mini engines , i expect economical milage above 20mpg at LEAST

Its 2021 believe it or not people are not expecting 15mpg on really any car regardless of its configuration

Mileage is one thing I care about. It's actually one reason I'm interested in the new Bronco. I already own several fun and capable open top 4x4s. But driving my old Land Rover from Chicago to where I used to live in Colorado for off-roading, isn't always the best experience.

So yeah, I'll be looking at what a new Bronco offers me, that I don't already have in my 4x4s. And part of that is mileage and longer trip abilities. With Bronco I'd be happy hitting 20mpg or a bit over, could live with that. Would be a nice improvement over my TJ which needs some tuning and eats gasoline.
