I wonder how many people will mod their Broncos powerwise. In the Subaru turbo world, it’s like 95% lol. Based on the posts on this forum, it doesn’t seem like a priority. I get that the Bronco isn’t meant for speed but everybody likes a little more power, no?
Didn't Tune my WRX (Should have)
Tuned by BMW (almost immediately)

Will Tune by 2.3 7MT Bronco (almost immediately)

Ford won’t offer any power upgrades for the 2.3. They have a higher horsepower option they’d rather you buy.

The Ford performance tune you can buy today for the Ranger.

https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9603-REB

It only make sense to have this for the Bronco 2.3 shortly after launch. That would put it at 325 HP, 370 TQ.
This just blows my freaking mind. Back when I was last into cars, getting a tune was dependent on finding a very knowledgeable tuner that usually didn't live in the same state as you, and it was still very hit or miss, and it would definitely and completely void your warranty. To have a plug and play warrantied tune is awesome!

Then why do they for the Mustang? Because there is a 5.0 and a GT350 they would rather you buy. Honestly I doubt they care which you buy, a sale is a sale. What you do with it after isn't as important. I can almost guarantee they will have a tune out for the Bronco.

Ford also developed a modular top (that they made standard equipment on two models), 200+ accessories that would be ready at launch and installed free, neutral color options on the accent colored items, and so on. Still waiting on those items. Wake me when the claimed steering system and performance tune are actually available at Ford Performance Parts ( https://performanceparts.ford.com/vehicles/bronco ) . Then I will believe it.

How long would you wait to tune a new vehicle? I've never gone down that road before and was told to wait until, at least, after the first oil change. Thoughts?

If ford offers the tune from day one, I’ll be purchasing. Once tuned, the numbers get closer to the 2.7.... especially if the torque comes in on the earlier side it’ll be very tolerable .... that said I would still prefer the manual with the 2.7.
All of us with the 2.7 will put a tune on them and you will still be nowhere close to us. LOL
