Newer 2.3's must be better... Back in the early Gen6 days, and waiting 2 years for my Wildtrak, Ford had the mannequin Broncos to test drive... My local dealer only had 2.3L's, I wasn't impressed with road performance, I was expecting more. I drove a 2.3L Badlands at the Off-Roadeo, and I don't recall much difference, but we were going slow most of the time.
Funny add-on. When my Wildtrak arrived (July '22), the dealer let me drive (test) it right off the truck... Problem was the Bronco was in "Transport Mode?". The 2.7L was a total dog... My wife even complained, which is odd for her.
My 2.7L breaths much better and ProCal tuned, for now.
