Good on ya! I did that trail in November '22 and had a great time on it. Fun trail, with lots of challenges. Great to see a Base do it justice!

Been a while sense I have posted. I am lucky my wife has to work in Moab once a month. Today I got to take my 2 door base out on Fins and things for the first time. Made the whole loop by myself. Did not see one other vehicle the entire time. My build is a base w/automatic. 2inch level kit. With 285/70/17. No lockers. I was amazed at how well it performed. Only one spot where I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it. But with a little fudging and just the right line it made it up. Super fun trail.

I love the look of your build, you did excellent work! I decided to not go with the white Top & Wheels, because I bought the Besttop Skyrider (4dr), which opens up the front and mid panels, but leaves the rear roof cap on. And it is black! But I did go with the 285/70 tires you have, on Badlands Takeoffs. I decided that white wheels would need the dish style you have to look right, so thats a future project. Your build is beautiful!

Great pics! Nice to see a base tackle Moab. Btw, your build is probably my favorite that I've seen.

Great pics! Curious, where did you get the emblem?
It has been over a year ago when I got it. But I think it was a Scott drake website. It is a badge for a 66-77 that said sport on it but I dremeled it off, and repainted it.

I have the same tire size, model and trim. Good to see the base Bronco can handle that type of off-roading so well.

Yes I was very impressed. But was definitely at its limits on that trail. I have a heritage edition on order. And will be sad to see this one go when my new one comes in. But will fill much more comfortable knowing I have the lockers to help me in some of this situations.

It amazes me how many people think they *need* lockers. When I went to the Austin off-roadeo, we only used the lockers 2 times. You simply don't need them if you have the right line and right tires.

Obviously some people will get value of out them, but I'd wager 90% of the people with lockers will never go on trails tough enough to warrant them.

Great pics! I love Fins & Things. It's always a nice, quick little shake-down run when I first get to Moab, just to make sure nothing's going to fall off :)

Looks good, been to Moab but haven’t done that trail, so much to do out there it’s hard to choose where to start.

I think lockers are misunderstood. 4x4 Vehicles with open differentials are really only 2 wheel drive one wheel in the back spins and one wheel in the front spins. Even with fancy traction controls and one wheel is not touching the ground and or slipping on loose terrain now you are down to one wheel drive. Granted if you never leave pavement then lockers are not needed but if you go off road a rear locker is minimum for anything with mud snow or loose dirt.
