2-door is huge constraint

Weird that you were told that. Last week I took delivery of my 2 door Black Diamond earlier than expected. The dealer told me that because it was a 2 door, manual transmission I jumped the line! I’m not complaining, I love this truck and it was worth the wait.

May have been to try and steer me into a more expensive four door model. Not sure. Based on their allocation I won't be scheduled for production until late this year, not because of part constraints, because of the dealer allocation nonsense.

When I took delivery of my 2D BL a month ago, the sales rep commented how we were fortunate to get our order and then showed me a Ford email stating the 2D models would be at a 17% build rate. 17 out of every 100 on order is bleak.

Wonder how many of those are dealer stock?

I have a 7/14 res of a 2 door BL, SAS, Lux… no word yet if or when they plan to build it. It would be cool to know if Ford even plans to build it at this point.

I feel your pain. I have base sas 7/13 and not sure I will ever get it!

IMO it's not what you order or even when, it's where.

Is it fair? No.

Does it suck? Yes.

Wish I knew that before I tried to support my local small dealership. I was told and believed that reservations meant something. Clearly they lied and changed what was advertised to lots of people. Hurting customers is a bad idea and will continue to hurt their business long after short term supposed gains. Trust is important.
