Right, Base does not have rock rails. My BD did so I had to remove them prior to installing the steps.

They look good with your black Bronco!

Thanks all!
I find a true step works the best. (I've slipped right off the running boards on several trucks).
Leaning towards these:
Westin HDX Drop Nerf Step Bars 56-14185
Hey @FrankenRodz, I'm shopping for steps for my 2-door Badlands, had for about 30 days and was not sure I would even want steps, but it's feeling necessary for access by wife and occasional back seat passengers. Couple questions since you've had these a while now:
- Is the step far enough back to help climbing in when the seat is slid forward?
- I know they are not "slider" replacements, but do the brackets feel sturdy? I will check again for weight rating...
- And other than the step portion, do they stick out far enough to help protect against rocks or door dings?
- Do you find mud and other junk gets caught in the step holes since they are not open below?

For the record, the other options I'm considering are:
Rough country alum version - similar design to the Westin, but the step is not as integrated looking, but is open slotted:

Or these from Go Rhino - better protection from dings and more step surface, but don't look as good from the side:

Thanks for any quick replies, Some of these are on sale today for Cyber Mon.

- Very Sturdy. Bolt to factory holes.
- Quality Brackets. Same material as rail.
- Step unscrews for cleaning.
- Still getting rock chips.
- Step could be further back or longer. Passengers still have to navigate sill and then step.
- Best looks in my opinion.

Thanks for the details, agree they are good looking. Look more like the factory sliders than other options. Bummer about rock chips still, but I ordered IAG flap set, similar style to Fords. I will plan on keeping some kind of flap on front at least.

I see online they have a stainless option also, not sure if that's the entire tube or just the step plates. Prob gonna go this route, if I get more serious about needing sliders, will be couple years down the road.

Just called Westin - they don't have stainless steps, but have the step plates in Stainless, in case the black starts to wear off down the road...

Any recommendations?
Looking at Rough Country.
Looking for a Drop Step for lifted 2-door, so my Wife can get in.
(Purchased nice aftermarket set for my Frontier Pickup, but the brackets are rusting after 1-season, so looking for a quality product).

Thanks for the input!
Just installed a set today. I am totally impressed with the quality, not only in production, but packaging to ensure no damage. I recommend them. 😎👍🏻
