Get yourself a couple cans of Fluid Film readyI'm in Michigan, so only one question... what are the corrosion resistance properties
Holy flashback to my childhood.
? I’m already dealing with it on my FJ. Lesson learned !!!!Red Dawg from Phoenix AZ asks: “What is this ‘rust’ thing you speak of? ?
My current vehicle is a 99 Cherokee classicEveryone knows they should have gone for Rearden Metal. Anything else is just a compromise.
One of the claimed properties of this steel is increased corrosion resistance due to a different formulation of the galvanizing material. Only time will tell.
The first thing to corrode through on my Cherokee when I was stationed at Schofield Barracks was the steel under the seat. I was driving on to Wheeler AAF, hit a speed bump, heard something break and dropped about an inch. Oahu killed that poor Cherokee. Well, that and I used it to haul around SCUBA gear.
Ahhhhh yes Grasshopper ?Thankfully! The Chinese steel is basically melted down washers and dryers.
Confirmed in the painted bodies thread Ford is using e-coat on the BroncoFord uses e-coat on F-150 and Super Duty frames, which is very resilient. I imagine they might use e-coat on Bronco too, but no official info yet.

Those Millers are nice.Right!
Last thing we needed to hear was "a new seam sealer was also developed in conjunction with this new steel, it sucks 1% less than before"....
