I have a 2022 2.3L manual sasquatch that has just been getting sluggish over the past 20K miles. I have 70K on it right now. I've tried fuel changes, additives, air filter. No codes. I'm wondering if I might need walnut blasting. I do have an extended warranty with Ford. I haven't taken it in for this but I suspect they will tell me everything is fine. Any ideas? Is there a non-invasive way to determine if the valves need blasting?

Thanks

Have you changed plugs? I would look at the turbo before valves.
I have not done either. I feel like the plugs need to get done either way. What would you recommend on the turbo? I'm unsure how to diagnose properly. I will say my main complaint is low end torque, so maybe not the turbo?

I would do plugs and take pictures, that will tell you the most information about what's going on. Might be worth starting to check plugs every other oil change if you really want to monitor for engine issues/performance.

While driving I would watch your dash boost gauge to see how much boost your making when it feels lacking. Pretty common on these overworked small turbos for them to start becoming less efficient with time. If you have a tune then turbos tend to die faster. Just like the valves they get build up and blades slowly erode from exhaust gasses.

I did plugs at 50k and wasn’t expecting anything but that alone did make a noticeable difference.

Also worth trying one of the aerosol intake cleaners (the fuel additive ones won’t do any good due to DI). I’ve started that every oil change now that I’m past 70k. I dunno if it really does any good and it’s no substitute if you really need blasting but I feel better about it.

You may have a fuel pump getting ready to go bad because this is the symptom my 2022 2.7L V6 had just before it failed.

Any suggestions on plugs. Seems like every thread of video is on going 1 step colder with NGK's. I don't have a performance tune right now.

Stock ones will be perfectly fine.

Those would be the next best option.
Probably the best plug that’s one step colder. Just not really sure it’s needed for a non-tuned engine, but that’s up to you. It won’t hurt anything.

I have these in my 2.7

Edit: Nevermind, I have the LTR7BHX, which are one step colder.

I'm running these plugs, installed at 10k when I installed the Panda Power module. Definitely smoothed out my idle whether the power module was on or off.
