Hi everyone! Sharing the build of my 2022 Wildtrak.

As soon as the new Bronco details were revealed, I realized the best version would be a Wildtrak model with 4 doors and hardtop. Couldn't pass up the Area 51 retro color. I ordered one in May 2021, it was built on 9/20/2022, and picked up from dealer 12/7/2022 after numerous delays and fake ETA's from Ford.

Goal with this vehicle is to use it for desert trail exploring, road trips, and as a 2nd vehicle for camping in addition to my 2020 Raptor.

The Wildtrak comes from Ford already well designed to handle off road driving, so will not be doing a silly lift kit or unnecessary mods just to mod.

As delivered on 12/7/2022 with 32 miles:

Spent some time wrenching in the garage to install parts that had been accumulated over the last few months, and by day 2 of ownership with 71 miles it looked like this:

After 7 days of ownership and with 125 miles now on the odometer:

Nice! Have a MY 22 4dr Wildtrak awaiting shipment now. Very similar spec to you but ordered in cactus grey to match the raptor I have. MIC, Lux pack, Rack, HOSS 3.0, Leather, MOD bumper, etc. Looks like you ordered with the HOSS 3.0 judging by the orange on the wildtrak side logo. How do you like the ride so far? Would you mind sharing some pictures of the suspension for me? No one out there has posted too many pics of it. Already have some true 35’s anlong with RRW RH-6 rims sitting in the garage. Appreciate it and enjoy!

Mishimoto intercooler install was super easy. High quality product, and fitment is like OEM. With the bumper off, the intercooler swap took no more than 5 minutes.
Drove the brand new Bronco less than 40 miles while stock, so can't really make a comparison of stock vs upgrade. Chose not to install front shutters or flap vents behind the IC. The Mishimoto comes with attachment points and hardware to install like factory if desired.

Intercooler came very well packaged, and includes hardware and machined & anodized hose fittings. The fittings did not come attached, and require a torque wrench with in-lbs along with blue loctite.

Installed. Could use a duct to keep air from flowing around the core.

Great build! Mine will be quite similar when it arrives-just two less doors! Look forward to watching your progress.

Nice build.

I’m very interested in the SVC bumpers. Do you have plans to add, or do you have, additional underbelly skids?

Looks great. Those tires look huge compared to stock. I know those generals in 35 are about 1/2 larger in terms of height, but they appear bigger than that. How are the X3's onroad? I've been eyeing the General ATX, given i'm afraid the X3's are a bit too noisy onroad and my mix will be more onroad than off.

I have several parts from ASFIR that still need to be installed. Transmission protection, cross brace protectors, rear shock lower mount protectors, and heavy duty rear tow hook.
Will take some pics soon of the pieces and then after install.

Cool, thanks! I look forward to learning more about how the SVC front skid mates up with the belly skid. Cheers!

You're right that the X3's appear quite a bit larger than stock. Part of it is the 0 offset wheels pushing the tires out nearly 1.5" on each side, and the big lugs on the X3's make them about 0.5" taller than the factory tires.
I got them for going through sand and mud, though I think they also look pretty cool. It was painful for me though knowing they are a bit heavier than comparable tires, as I'm a huge fan of weight reduction and usually looking for the lightest parts possible.
35" tires are plenty big for the Bronco, and this wheel/tire combo already comes in around 100 lbs. Going bigger is nonsense IMO.

Road noise with the insulated hardtop seems average for these kind of tires. I'm used to sports cars with wide tires and not much noise control, and have quiet cars to go out with the family.

Out of all that I could help but smile at the "lift me baby" stamped on the underside of fenderwell. At least that what I think it says 😆

ROFL . . . “Not doing silly lifts or mods just to mod” . . . Takes breath . . . Here’s my $12,000 list of mods . . . ROFL.
I love what you’ve done with it, as none of what you’ve done is silly, but the way that came across has me . . . chuckling.
