Door jam recommends 39 psi for Goodyear M/T OEM. Seems too bumpy for me on pavement. Tires say max 36 psi under load. Local tire shop recommends 32 psi.
What’s everyone running for psi and how is ride?

I think mine are at 36 because it's cold(~15-20°F). 39 dont bother me, peppier. 32 sounds low. I don't think I'd want to go below 36, too sluggish

2dr short wheelbase big tires is going to be bouncier

I generally run around 35-36 but I had swapped out to 35x12.5x17 BFG KM3 tires a month after getting the truck.

The Ford recommended pressure is just so they could eke out another MPG on the sticker. Stock tires on a 2dr ride like a tank at that pressure.

Back when I still had them, I would run them more like the low 30s. Say 33-35 PSI.

I ran mine at 35 and wear was good, ride was softer and MPG didn't change much. The real key is to base it on even wear and the only good way to dial that in is by performing a chalk test.

I remember a few longer threads on this PSI topic if you want to dig deep into more details.

Ford being careful. Anyone remember the Ford Explorer debacle 30-ish years ago by inflation recommendations that were too low?

How do you like the KM3s compared to the Goodyear OEM Sasquatch tires?

They were heavy (around 74 lbs I think and e-rated) and it rode a bit firmer but they didn't bother me at all. You could hear them for sure. I recently swapped out to some c-rated 37" BFG KO2's and they're quite a bit quieter but also a bit softer with the c rating.

Here's the truck with the KM3's. They have a much squarer shoulder vs the KO2 and I think they handled better.

39 psi, firm and high on the road. 20 psi when you want to get down and dirty in the woods.

39 psi is great for everyday use. No complaints. Even wear pattern.

34 psi on mine. Ford had me at 42-44psi when I picked it up new from the dealer and felt every bump.

Much better ride on the 34 range
