great thread. I have 37x12.5r17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT's on stock Sasquatch wheels and suspension. The only thing I have done is the Big Tire Clearance kit. I also have AdV Fiberglass quarters all the way around. The only rubbing I have is at full stuff and full lock the sidebiters on the tires hit the frame. I also had to pull back the fender liners and zip tie them so that they wouldn't get rubbed.

Is there more clearance with the ADV fenders? Do you think it would rub more with factory fenders and Sasquatch flairs?

The ADV fenders are supposed to be 2” up and 2”out. But I think that is off of nonSasquatch flares. So there may be a little more room but not much

Great pics thanks ! I’ll be cutting the crash bars this weekend.
Your Truck looks rad with the fenders … that’s quite the project.

Did you completely remove the plastic block that is behind the liner on the back side of the wheel well ?

thanks I'm loving it. Yes the max tire kit comes with a bracket that replaces the plastic block (see last photo). the suggest using push pins to hold the liner back but I found that zip ties are more secure.

The only thing I don't like about this kit is having to cut the front piece off. I like the fact that allows a lot of clearance but worry about the strength of having the mount just bolted on to the side of the frame vs being a part of the frame. Probably worry too much but just something that worries me.

Did you think about the 4WP big tire kit?
The new body mount is a seriously solid bracket with angular supports that wrap over the top and bottom of the frame. IT's beefy and didn't seem to me in anyway to be a strength issue.

The big tire kit replaced the crash bars. The kit I installed removes the part of the frame that the crash bars slide into. On my sasquatch package Ford didn't even supply the crash bars because the 35's would rub, so the crash bar mounts are just in the way.

Yep, & you are not really even cuttings the "Frame" no loss in frame strength , you are cutting brackets off of the frame for those concerned ;) That big goby bracket has a small amount of mounting surface vice its size.

Thank you for the info on this thread. My OBX came from the dealer lifted 2.5" in the front and 1.5" in the rear, on 17x8.5 wheels, 35" tires. I have been looking to upgrade to 20" wheels, and a meatier 35", but I don't know if it is going to do the trick for me. The wheel offsets I have been looking at are -19MM, and it has been suggested I will need to remove the crashbars. .. If I am removing the crashbars, can I then just go up to a 37", maybe also purchasing the jks "big tire kit" ? TIA

Not sure how 37s will roll with your lift, as it’s probably just slightly taller than a stock Sasquatch truck. I would go with BFGs since they are not full 37s.

True 37s will for sure rub the rear of both fender wells and the crash bar mount. Fixes for these are in the thread.

Appreciate the response/input. I do not plan on taking my Bronco off road, I just wanted something more aggressive. As I mentioned, I thought a larger wheel, and a more negative offset would help it look a little more aggressive, but I actually think the larger wheel, resulting in a smaller sidewall on my 35"s , will have the opposite effect. I just feel like there is too much space in my wheel well, it almost looks like it could be lowered, and keep these these 35s on it. I love the stance/look of this one (it has 3" lift) . .. I'm also noticing different viewing/picture angles make a huge difference :D

Making room for the 37s on the back of the front wheel well where it rubbed the fender liner. JKS Max tire kit includes the brackets to eliminate the big plastic block behind the liner so the liner can be pulled in.

I trimmed the bottom edge of the liner, and used zip ties instead of the plastic push rivets to secure to bracket. Also cut off the metal body corner.

Actually the stock +30 SAS wheel for 315s has well over 5” of backspace. A 0 offset 9” wheel has 5” backspace. That being said a highly negative wheel might not rub as much on the crash bar mount … but that’s easily trimmed off. And I didn’t want a bunch of poke past the flare.

Overall Wheel Width / 2 + offset = backspace

Stock SAS is 17 x 8.5 with a +30 offset. The width of the rim is measured from inside bead to inside bead. Overall wheel width includes the beads - so measurement is from outside bead to outside bead. On average you can just add 1". Overall wheel width for SAS is 9.5".

The overall backspacing for SAS wheel is 5.93". (9.5/2 + 1.18" = 5.93")

Can someone explain why the JKS clearance kit is necessary?

I was under the impression that with the proper offset (somewhere around 0), you would only need to trim the end of the crash bar mount and maybe the back-side of the front and rear fender/fender liner to clear 37s. Not sure I'm ready to go as far as what the JKS kit does.

My current plan is 2" zone spacer lift, 1" or 1.25" wheel spacers (to get near , and 37" Razr MTs, and some light trimming where necessary. Eventually I'll go with a longer travel suspension kit once I find one I like. Will be doing moderate off roading.
