MetalCloak full underside skid plates system installed on 2-door Bronco

Got Metalcloak full belly skidplates installed today. These things are beefy. Very impressed with fitment and finish. Recessed bolt heads are very nice touch. Can't wait to try them out. They should be available to purchase now or soon. I loaned out my bronco for test fitment of the prototype and for final install and pictures for the install manual. They also have some new Bronco rock sliders out for 4 doors. Hopefully 2 door soon on the sliders.

Looks nice! I would just worry about the extra thickness adding to less actual ground clearance so may bang it on more rocks than the OEM one

I honestly am not sure. I am friends with the owner of Metalcloak and he hit me up to use my Bronco as a favor. I can ask. They are very beefy, and keep everything smooth under there. Armor for rock contact should not be where you go light on the steel thickness.

I think the stock tin ones were 1/16th in thick, and these are 1/4in plate. The stock ones weren't doing much under there to begin with.

Metalcloak needs to step up and fix a few things. Till then they are not the best option.

It's like losing an inch of lift and you lose a lot of clearance. You gain bomb proof protection (long as I'm not driving).

Got their 4 door version on my Wildtrak and felt it could use a lot better instructions. I did it alone in my driveway in Houston heat...it was rough, and if you don't have a jack you're screwed.

I will say however, that I didn't worry about the underside of my Bronco while I was in Colorado doing trails on the Alpine Loop. Those rock slider rails look appealing, I just wish it was more than 1.5" OD tubing.

Might keep in a little heat, but it'll for sure keep out methheads.
