Adding towing hitch causing rear collision alerts in tunnels!

I had a shop install a trailer hitch for me. That has caused a bizarre side effect. I keep getting rear collision alerts. And even more strangely, I have noticed they trigger when I go under something low, e.g. a tunnel, a toll booth, or a bridge. Badlands 23 with luxe. Shop says they didn’t mess with the sensors while installing the hitch. Any ideas? Thanks.

No. Nothing on the hitch whatsoever.

Hmmm, I assume they also wired in a trailer light controller. Perhaps they ran some wires in front of the BLISS sensor under the tail light ?
