That's a sound deadening package for the headliner. The extra sound deadening is entirely different.Hard Top Sound Deadening Headliner (requires Hard Top or Dual Tops)
The conditional requirement for a hard top suggests it has at least something to do with the roof. My personal guess is it's a simple headliner like the one OEM option for Wranglers.

Which is what I did to my jeep but then I also added closed cell foam layer and them mass loaded vinyl on top before reinstalling my carpet, dash and door panels. Some of the videos seem to suggest it's in the body. Likely something like Dynamat under the carpet.
I was really hoping it was between the front and rear seats to block out the kids. Still hopeful.Y'all have this stuff backwards. See...The way this stuff works is...
Then when your mud terrains start howling and the wind starts slamming the sides of your head...
...You can no longer hear your spouse.
BOOM. Sound. Deadened.
I'm thinking you're correct Jeff. It wouldn't make sense to offer the headliner as an option on the soft top versions. It may turn out to be a very good option for the Bronco's with the "squatch" package, or maybe even depending on the amount of road noise in the non "squatch" ones. This is not the hard top headliner. The hard top headliner is a separate option.
The “High” package lists “Additional sound deadening” as a bullet feature (which wouldn’t even make sense on a soft top 4 door). So I think the question stands. What is this? Do they spray some insulating foam inside the door panels?
