Is the part not covered under warranty?
So it SHOULD be, but the dealer told me that they dont know if the popping is a problem (which it is) and if the part does not fix the sound, then they will charge me for it. I told them to go and rev any other 2.3 in the lot and let me know if they make that sound. The tech said “uh yeah i dont know what on our lot has that engine”. I just got fed up at that point lol . Just find a good dealership and they wont pull this with you im sure
It's supposed to be warranty no matter what until you already have 30k+ miles on it (highly unlikely I'm sure).

The tech gets paid more if it turns to CP (customer pay) and the advisor also makes money on it too from parts and labor...
My guess is the advisor is up to the asking you to pay, because the tech should know that if it truly is hard to diagnose and narrow down he can ask to make the ticket actual time. Warranty pay sucks, but as long as you get the ok for actual time or real time, whatever the shop calls it, the tech is protected and gets paid. But (idk if you're BPV or CAC tube guy), they both don't take long to install so the time difference between warranty or customer pay is miniscule, and the most the tech would lose is 1hr of diag...

Not a dumb question at all! BPV is a Bypass valve, it has so many names lol. Basically instead of sending out a certain amount of air into the atmosphere like a BOV, it recirculates it back into the turbo to prevent fluttering/damage to the turbo. Usually stock cars come with BPV for the quieter noise.

Definitely having the same issue. Just want to know what im talking about when I take it in? When I asked the dealer about this awhile ago they did not know what it was. Would a new aftermarket BOV fix the issue or just have the dealership install a new one? Thanks for the knowledge.

I would tell them the recirculation valve is making an abnormal loud clicking sound. Tell them to check the charge pipe, which is the tubing the valve is connected to . That seems to be the problem from what im understanding. I installed aftermarket, and it had other problems with fluttering. I would try to do it OEM. Let me know how it goes, good luck!!

I have noticed mine doing this since I got it, 3300 miles later, no issues. At this point I dont think its an issue, just a quirk.

Yeah, I took mine in for its first oil change yesterday. They ran the Bronco by the guys that deal with the engine and components to show them the "click". They said some Broncos make louder noises than others with the turbo and BPV, but the noise was normal. I'm still not 100% sold on it, but not sure what else to do at this point.

Manual 2.3 here. Just found the same issue here at 13k miles.

Thanks for the info and the idea of unplugging the bpv to narrow down the noise.

It doesnt seem to be hurting anything but the sound is definitely a little annoying.

Will definitely let you know what happens with charge pipe.

I traded a manual 2017 Tacoma trd off road for the bronco. I would never go back to that truck.
Hey hey, any updates with the charge pipe? Might have to order one if it worked out haha

Still waiting on the part. Latest update from the Ford "customer experience specialist" is that it is expected to be shipped by Wednesday of this week.....after they supposedly expedited the part over a month ago.

On the plus side, my family and I took the Bronco on a 2 week trip from Southern California to NV, UT, AZ and back without issue.
