Another seat mismatch from Ford

Well picked up my Bronco late Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately once after the long drive home I discovered that the rear driver side & center bottom seat cushions were leather while everything else was MGV as it should be . Started a case # with Ford & reached out to dealer for support.

Hoping I can get this resolved. Everything else is good.

Well I'm happy to say that after a long drive the issue has ben resolved. The Ford Rep remained outstanding in seeing this issue through. Once the Service Manager had all the info he was great as well in getting this organized to be replaced. Turned out to be a single cover for both seats.

I am also happy to report that I was getting 20 MPG with 37's while stuck in traffic for most of the 180 miles down & 19 MPG on the way back on more open hi-ways, so that was more than the 15 I was expecting .

I also drive with a light foot .

As designed? Maybe it’s more design cues they took from Yugo, like brown dash and blue seats.

Don't set that bar too high. Low expectations, the key to avoiding disappointment.

And it was built on a Wed / Thurs. I should have been safe

Funny thing is how many people touched those seats and gave not a fuck about it and let it go out the door.

My dad has so many of those stories from being at Romeo ford for 40 years. People using bad gaskets to finish off a shift, dropping bolts down the intakes, knowingly putting bad parts on to meet quota.

Hi. Two questions for you, and pretend this is your Bronco:

1) Should Ford shut down the assembly line when one set of seats doesn’t match, and the matching seat is not available?
2) If your Bronco was held up at Dirt Mountain due to a non-matching seat, would you want them to ship it or wait for the matching seat to arrive and be installed?

Just curious…..
