I read here: https://www.hotcars.com/latest-jay-lenos-garage-episode-1968-ford-bronco/ that Jay's Bronco is " custom ''tonight blue'' paint.Speculation. But I've looked at colors until I'm blue in the face. No pun intended. Jay just had that Bronco restored by Ford right before the Bronco reveal. You can see its a never used before new paint and it matches the exact color of the new F 150 that was introduced on stage. Its definitely not a coincidence. They both look identical in color. Super dark blue that almost looks black in the shade. Antimatter is the only Blue paint that Ford makes that is that dark.
Me too!I really really hope they don’t cancel Antimatter Blue for the 22MY. My plan is to get it w/ the body-colored roof ???
I intend to do a Ceramic PRO coat on mine and wonder if that will help too.My question is if I get AMB and then put on a matte or satin PPF, does the blue completely go away? I think if it still faded from black to blue, matte or satin would look amazing.
My Dad put a ceramic coat on his f450 and it really makes the blue pop on a sunny day! Sadly we didn't see the truck in the sunlight before it was dropped off at the shop to get the coating and Protective film put on. But we love our ceramic coatings! As soon as my FE hits the dealer lot it will be driven straight to the shop to get windows tinted, protective film, and ceramic coated!I intend to do a Ceramic PRO coat on mine and wonder if that will help too.
It’s a beautiful color on the F-series and I am still considering it after having seen it in person, but my main concern is that the bronco doesn’t have all of the body lines and angles to reflect the sunlight like that, especially without painted fender flares. Something that makes me nervous without seeing it outside on an actual bronco.Swung by the local lot today to visit AMB again. Yup, still blue! This time I remembered to bring my camera.
Yeah, I get it. I'm getting an OBX with painted flares, and living at over 6K feet above sea level with year-round sunshine, I may be at an advantage with this color. This was the fourth time I've been to this lot and it's looked like this every time. If I lived in an area with perpetually overcast skies, I might feel a little differently about it. Would love to see it on a Bronco too - with this kind of natural lighting. It’s a beautiful color on the F-series and I am still considering it after having seen it in person, but my main concern is that the bronco doesn’t have all of the body lines and angles to reflect the sunlight like that, especially without painted fender flares. As a future resident of Colorado greatly appreciate the insight and consistent sunshine to make this color really pop.Yeah, I get it.
