My 85 year old FIL will drive 11 hours with just a couple of stops for fuel in a Jeep. leave early in the AM, arrive by dinner. If he can do it...so can you.

I don’t really see what‘s so difficult. We generally try to get 8hrs of sleep every night, leaving us awake for 16hrs a day. How hard is it to spend 12 of those driving?

I'm with you man - The most I drove alone was all day up and down a couple times throughout NJ, in my younger years. I left in the early morning for work, drove all day picking up and dropping off stuff in a rental box truck, and got home late at night. I got sleepy on the last leg of the trip, and dozed off. Woke up sliding against a guard rail that saved me from diving into a drop off ditch. I was pretty awake after that close call, but I would definitely be a little worried on a long trip like that, and plan some rest stops.

Leave early. I'd rather drive in the dark when I'm fresh than drive in the dark when I'm tired.
900 mile days are easy. Once it gets over 1000 miles it's a freaking grind. I do several 4-5K solo trips every year. Under 900 miles a day is my goal. easy peasy.
Honestly, the hardest part is planning the bathroom breaks. Some of us are creatures of habit and it's a good idea to know where the good bathrooms are.

Longest day driving solo was just a tad over 1100 miles. That sucked.
