My Bronco was officially built on Dec 9, and has been awaiting shipping via convoy since then, to my dealer in West Virginia.

It has not entered "SHIPPED" status yet (no email, no change on Backdoor,) and its shipping estimate has changed from 12/12-12/16 to 1/5-1/13 to 12/16/12/22 and back to 1/5-1/13.

"Convoys" are big old car transport 18 wheelers, right? I'm wondering, can anyone with experience in logistics answer, what are the factors that would keep a ride stuck at the factory in search of a truck, with estimates bouncing all over?

Mine was shipped by convoy to Md. Built 3/5, in my garage 3/12. I would think a trip to WV shouldn’t be to difficult to schedule. Scheduling around the upcoming holidays is most likely the reason for the change in estimated delivery dates. Good luck.

It used to be easy to track before they closed down the website you could plug your VIN into.

Mine was built 9/7 and made it from Michigan to southern indiana on 9/14. It took a week to get loaded and then delivered in a day. They're probably looking for a full truckload to your area or a driver to take it. I believe it comes via Jack Cooper.

Similar experience here. But long story short, I called Ford Bronco support at 800-334-4375 and got the name and number of the assigned carrier. If your trucking company is as helpful as mine was, with a VIN they should be able to tell you when they’re planning to pick it up. Good luck!

I'm not in logistics by would think the factors include, but are not limited to:

1. Weather
2. The holidays
3. Staffing at the trucking company
4. Mechanical issues with the truck(s)
5. Lastly I'll throw in Covid as that seems to be everybody's excuse for everything these days.

I’ve been on a similar journey, awaiting shipment via convoy from MAP, 2.5 hrs north to mid-Michigan. Built 12/6, with three delivery estimate changes. Currently saying 12/26-12/30.
