my truck is supposed to be built next week. I want to run 37s on 17" wheels with bfg tires.
I have base 4 door hard top with the 2.7.

I am debating between the rough country 3.5" lift and the 5" lift.

I like the high look but worried the 5" will lose more ride quality.

Does anyone have experience with either lift and have a recommendation?

Thank you all for your time.

Do the 3.5 IN.. It will look a little wonky with a 5 IN. lift. Good luck!

If you are planning on wheeling, I would go for the 3.5"

Whatever you do you should install a lowering kit for your front dif or you'll be buying cv joints like donuts. This would be true for anything more than 2" lift with an ifs. Lifting a vehicle properly is bit more involved than most realize.

Any details you can share? Did something fail? Why did you switch?

Here is my OBX 2.3 with 37x12.5R17 on Rough Country 3.5. There is plenty of space above the tire. It rides great. I don't think I'd want to go any taller.

2.3 got enough power for that?

No problems there. I had the dealer put the lift and wheels on, so I have never drive with stock wheels and lift. The 2.3 provides 325ft/lbs on 91 octane. So, plenty of power.

I have added a K&N Intake and Ford Performance Tune. So I am I am sure I am closer to 400ft/lbs of torque, now.

I have the 3 inch Eibach coilovers and am experiencing a clunk occasionally in the drivers floorboard. Considering the Rough Country differential drop brackets, wondering if the 3/8" makes a difference? Either my 4 degree rear pinion angle that I need rear upper control arms to correct, front differential drop, or possibly the harsh angled front sway bar links or maybe all 3 lol....
