I agree but think it's more that ford isn't going to develop a 2dr. While the shorter wheelbase would be more sketchy, 99.99% of these will never go off road and I think if they were motivated they could make it work. Looks like a 2dr wildtrak will be in my garage if so

99.99% there will not be a 2-door WH. The longer wheelbase is much more stable at speed when off-road. Like the Raptor, the WH is not designed for crawling and tight slow wheeling. Wide open wheels in the air is it's primary purpose off-road. The extra height and soft suspension could get a little sketchy on & off road.
Good insight. I did not think of it like that.

I know this is a Pipe Dream, but I feel that the Warthog should start out to be more representative of the EB (early Bronco) for the 1st year, as in it should be a 2D. Put it on the 4D Frame. A 4D version could happen for the 2nd year of production.

Read an article from ford authority that says the 3.0EB is going in the ranger raptor. All signs point to it being the warthog motor. Fwiw
Interesting. Do you still think the aviator engine is going to make it. I know that’s what I want but at this point, I’m just wanting the WH

I would say no but I have no idea. I think the hybrid system will add a lot of weight and I think they can get the 3.0 above 392 wrangler lower levels without it, plus adding costs to what looks like an already expensive vehicle

Thanks for the article. Very interesting that Ford will be scraping the Warthog name. But then again it was never a name that made since to me. A Bronco is a horse and a Warthog is a pig. It'll be interesting to see what name they come up with. From the looks of the camo pics, I sure wouldn't mind one sitting in my driveway.
I think a appropriate name would be "Baja Edition" or "Bronco Baja".
Kinda like the Stroppe Baja Edition.

Then again Ford did file for the Bronco Scout name back on April 15 2019.

Bronco, Warthog, Pinto, and Mustang are nicknames of American military aircraft.

Yes, I know.
My point was two are named after horses and one is named after a pig. Having something named after two different animals doesn't make sense in my humble opinion.
I guess Bronco Warthog is when you cross a horse with a pig. 🤣

No, they are named after aircraft, not animals. The aircraft were nicknamed after different animals, but Ford used the aircraft names, so it is consistent series.

They should call it the Clydesdale.

Clydesdale should be reserved for a pulling work horse like a 1ton truck. I see Bronco Raptor sticking.
They have the F150 Raptor and the Ranger Raptor... why deviate?
