I know I have them on both sides have removed them when removing steering rack to get them out of the way, seemed to be be more a beauty piece than anything else.

Hmm, and yours is a 4 door black diamond?

'22 or '21?

mine is '22 BD 4 door. @flip confirmed that mine was built with only that part on the passenger side.

This is fun. Checked my BL 2.7 non SAS and HVBOM shows the right, no left. Run my brother's VIN which is the same but a 2.3 and it shows left only.

I have a '21 BD non-SAS with the 2.3 and it has one on the driver's side. It is directly below the water pump. Maybe there's a coolant drain plug in the block in that location? If so, it's impossible to access.

Hi all....was under my rig this morning just giving a thorough cleaning after some off-roading this past weekend. I noticed near the front passenger control arm/suspension, this piece of black plastic...it's only secured by push pins.

But I noticed it's missing on the drivers' side.....either I never had it, or it got knocked off this weekend while off-roading (I did have a few serious trails where my skid plates got a work out).

Anybody know what this is and the purpose of it?

Probably already stated but thats the oil filter catch that makes it so you have some control over where all the drips go.

It looks like it depends on whether or not you have the 2.3 or the 2.7.
