Had my Bronco (4door HE 2.3 Auto) for about a month now and I just noticed a curved metal piece bolted in right under the passenger side only. Doesn’t seem to be covering anything so I’m not sure if I should remove it or keep it. Anyone else has something similar?

This is what you get when you don't get the factory skid plates. just a deflector plate.

Appears to be integral to the cross member. I would guess that it is there to create wind turbulence (like a rock in a stream) that creates some upward wind movement to cool something... Transfer case looks close but that does not make sense.... I do not know what is directly behind and above that piece.

OR is that the gas tank just behind?... If there is no plating below the gas tank then It is probably there to shield it from stones and debris that could be thrown up at it.

Yeah I think the gas tank is more towards the passenger/cargo area.. Guess It's just to deflect stones

Strange. Wife's WT doesn't have skids covering the gas tank, but doesn't have this either... But you are missing the crossmembers that connect.

Since you were under there looking, did you notice your plastic transmission pan? A very good idea would be to get a metal skid plate, especially if you go off road. Doesn’t take much for a rock to break it.

I did see the transmission pan yeah...I don't go off roading that much but now that I saw how exposed it is, I'm going to prioritize buying skid plates
